Title: [Wittenberg] Adobe Flash
Post by: Sevastáin Pinátsch on December 08, 2019, 05:30:33 PM
Azul,

My browser has just asked:
Do you want to allow an outdated version of
Adobe Flash to run on this site? An outdated
version can affect browser performance and
security.

What new function on the site relies on obsolete software?

Oh, so that's why the shoutbox I was trying out earlier was misbehaving. I thought it was AJAX-based, but I checked out so many of them that I must have mixed two of them up.

BTW, the shoutbox is hidden because I just commented out the PHP bit that spawned it, but some of the code was still there as I hoped to get it to work eventually (...I guess that isn't happening), and that's what triggered the Flash alert.

Edit: I wasn't wrong, apparently only the sound notification used Flash, which is hilariously odd.

That is bizarre. Thanks for explaining what was going on.
