Is it wrong that I would like to find out what my pets names are in Talossan? I have a female dog named Harley, a female cat named Dixie and a male cat named Rebel. Just curious as none of them are active online they will never see this post.

Tried something new last night. It is called "Dragon's Milk Beer Barrel Bourbon". A bourbon whiskey aged in beer barrels. This gives it a bit of a malty taste along with hints of vanilla that they add in as well. I mainly tried it because it was made in my home state and I try to support companies from my state when I can. I enjoyed it's smooth finish. I do recommend it if you are looking for something new to try. CHEERS!

Sadly I am not reading anything right now. I was in the middle of rereading my favorite series of books, The Wheel Of Time series by Robert Jordan when the TV version was released on Amazon Prime. I was very much looking forward to the shows release but I was so disappointed that I have now lost interest in reading the books. I understand that due to time constraints and costs for special effects some changes must be made but...they skipped major portions of the books, changed the ages of the characters (the first few books are a coming of age story), left out some major characters and generally left me hating the series. On the other hand...I still like whiskey! Currently my favorites are 18 year old Chivas Regal and Angel's Envy!

Does anyone know of a website where one can play Dungeons & Dragons for free without having to play against or with other people? I have tried playing games online with other people and it usually turns out badly for me and sometimes for them as I am not really very good at most games.

The Nashville Predators were chosen because our neighbors in Wisconsin may declare war on us if we chose either Chicago or Minnesota and because one member said he could not in good conscience root for the team from Detroit and I chose Cézembre because the geographically closer provinces already have teams and sometimes it seems that Cézembre is the forgotten province.

I have been a part of Talossa for a little over a year, so I understand that I may not know the full background of the disagreements between the parties. With that being said, I have seen both major parties saying and doing things on here that seem to me to be extremely counterproductive. Hurling insults at one another, blocking each others bills simply out of spite and even organizing a boycott against any and all bills put forth by the opposition. When I asked for a seat in the Cosa I did so with the intention of trying to be a voice of reason, another member said he felt the same way but I have yet to see him come forth and say anything.

This leaves it up to me, probably the least intelligent and least educated member of the Cosa (and possibly the country) to make an attempt at putting these petty squabbles behind us as a nation and try to move forward.

I have always been a big believer that negotiation and debate when kept civil can generate some of the most important laws and policies in any government forum. The best laws and policies result from a situation where nobody gets everything they want but both get at least something they can agree with out of the process. The way to reach this point is through civil discourse, insults, attacks, boycotts and pettiness just make the other side more angry and more likely to dig in their heels and react in kind.

I would like to see all of the parties work together to find common ground rather than block each other simply out of spite. Admittedly I am only aware of three parties, though I know there are more, the FreeDems, TNC and PdR seem to hold the most power right now along with the King. I would like to see the leadership of each party along with His Majesty place their names in the comment thread for this post as a way of committing to a new way of doing things, work together to make Talossa the greatest nation that it can be, create a beacon of light to attract and KEEP new citizens. So many people likely come here as a way of escaping the day to day idiocy of the government machinations in their home country. Let us work together to find common ground, let us work together to show respect for each other, let us work together to make Talossa the home we all dream of rather than a reflection of the so-called real world.

I am just curious, does anyone ever update the TalossaWiki page? I just went there to study up a little and noticed that it still says we are in the 55th Cosa. The same is true of the link to Vuode, it says we are currently in the XI Grand Session and I believe we are now in Grand Session XII, though I don't think we even have a provincial government right now since nobody claimed a seat. Just wondering who is supposed to be in charge of updating the Wiki

I think we need to do something to clarify the Seneschal elections and to allow for write in candidates or conversely limit voters to a single vote particularly when there are only two candidates. It seems painfully obvious who the second choice would be in this event since we are not allowed to vote for only one candidate. Sounds like a rule the United States would come up with to waste time.

Later tonight I will continue rereading my favorite series of books "The Wheel Of Time" by Robert Jordan. The world building in this series is incredible, Jordan doesn't concentrate as much on language as Tolkien did but the building of societies and nationalities is extremely rich. It is also my opinion that the television series based upon the books...well I think it is horrible. I understand that time constraints make it difficult to cover the book word for word but they skipped MAJOR parts of the book and even skipped introducing some major characters. It is a classic good v. evil and a coming of age story spanning 14 books (plus one prequel) and tonight I will be pairing it with a glass of Angel's Envy whiskey. Two great tastes that go great together.

On May 1st I will have been a citizen for one full year. I put off applying for a CoA as I wanted to make sure I would stick around. Since I understand the next time I can be granted such is April 20th I thought now would be a good time to start the process. What is involved? What do I need to provide? How can I start this process?

I decided when I first became a citizen that I would wait one year before applying for a coat of arms. I didn't want to put people out and then decide I didn't like it here. I have decided that I love Talossa and I want a coat of arms but I know nothing about creating one. So my questions are...what is the process of creating one and how long do you think the process will take?

Does anyone have any experience with organizing a charity 5k walk/run? I was thinking this would be something we could do as a nation. We could pick a charity (perhaps by vote) and maybe even try to plan it in Talossa proper or something like that. I have walked in many 5k's but never organized one but I have been involved in charity work before and would be happy to lend what little expertise I have (not much my wife does most of the work). Anyway, let me know what you all think and if anyone has ever been involved in organizing something like this.

I hope this is allowed. I started a petition on change.org to ban Russia from international sporting events due to their unprovoked attack on a sovereign nation. I am well aware that this likely won't amount to much but perhaps if it gets enough notice someone out there with real power will see it and start an actual movement to isolate Russia and all other nations who attack militarily without provocation. This is just a small step towards a larger goal of complete isolation of nations who choose the path of violence against their neighbors.
