Title: A question
Post by: Tric'hard Lenxheir on December 16, 2021, 10:44:45 PM
So I was looking at the Talossa Wiki for Vuode and according to what i was reading nothing has been updated in at least a year. Who is responsible for updating the provincial government information? According to the wiki we are still in Grand Session XI and unless i am mistaken we are actually in Grand Session XII. I mean i guess it isn't real important since it's a bit of a joke but it just seems like it should be updated.

I'm not a citizen of Vuode, but I believe that there's no one in particular responsible for keeping your wiki entries up to date.  There's no laws about it, and previously it looks like it was mostly Etho who did it.  He's no longer around much, these days, so now no one is doing it.

I actually think only maybe Fiova has any rules about who should keep those sorts of things up to date.  Even on the national level, the only legal requirement is that the Scribe has to keep the laws up-to-date.  When we had more active citizens, everyone kind of pitched in a bit, either because they were interested or for bragging rights, but now only everyone's pretty thin on the ground.  On the whole wiki, only Miestra, V, and the Scribe have made any edits in the last six months, actually: https://wiki.talossa.com/index.php?title=Special:RecentChanges&days=180&from=  It's unfortunate and not very fair to them, since it's a big wiki to keep up to date, and it's a big burden on the people willing to do it.  I hope we can get more active people again soon, so we can keep it updated.  We used to add new articles all the time, but now we're at a point where even the listings of government offices aren't all up to date (like this is all wrong: https://wiki.talossa.com/Government).

If you're interested in getting involved in editing the wiki, maybe starting with Vuode, I'd be really happy to help you.  I wrote an intro course to editing wikis when I was a professor at our university, and it might be a good place to start: https://wiki.talossa.com/Class
