Vuode / Happy to see
September 26, 2023, 07:38:23 PM
When I first joined Talossa I was assigned to Vuode and I was very excited. However my excitement quickly diminished about Vuode. It quickly became apparent that at the time there were only about 3 active citizens (including myself) and I was immediately thrust into a position of leadership that I was neither prepared for or truly wanted. As near as I can tell I was soon the ONLY active citizen still here after Viteu renounced his citizenship. I am so happy to see new citizens joining the ranks of the Vuodean citizenship and looking to take positions of leadership. I am currently the Senator of Vuode and since we currently have no presiding officer or premier and I think I may be the only active member of the Estats Xhenerais I will start a thread as soon as the national elections are complete for the happy citizens of Vuode to claim their seats in said chambers. Once that step is complete we will begin the process of electing a new presiding officer and premier and then...I will step back and watch Vuode become a thriving province!

Quote from: Breneir Tzaracomprada on September 26, 2023, 05:08:25 PMAll, this is unrelated but the moderator for the Vuode provincial threads needs to be updated. It is currently listed as Viteu who is a former citizen.

I saw that as well, sadly as I have told you before Breneir, I am not the smartest guy in Talossa or even Vuode and I have no idea how the moderator can be changed or for that matter who would be a good choice to become moderator LOL

Quote from: Bentxami Puntmasleu on September 25, 2023, 06:27:11 PMAs a new citizen of Talossa and a Vuodean, I would like to claim a seat in the next (the XVI it seems) Grand Session of the Estats Xhenerais in order to be engaged in my province. What is a proper thread to declare "I, Bentxami Puntmasleu, hereby claim my right to be seated in the next Grand Session of the Estats Xhenerais?" Should I start a new thread or post in the current Grand Session, or elsewhere?

Since our provincial government was never fully formed and we have no presiding officer or premier at the moment, I will open a thread for the purpose of claiming seats in the Estats Xhenerais as soon as the national election is complete.

Braneu is correct. Normally after the national elections the head of Vuode opens the call for citizens who wish to be seated in the provincial government...however we never had a decision on who was the head of the government after the last election. We have a premier and a presiding officer and the Estats Xhenerais. As Braneu said every citizen can claim a seat in the Estats Xhenerais however since we don't currently have a sitting provincial government I am not sure who will be responsible for the call to serve and running the election of presiding officer or premier (both offices are elected by the Estats Xhenerais once seated). I'm not even sure who was nominated at this point but I know it was tied and Viteu was trying to get others to vote when he gave up his citizenship. Perhaps we need to ask good King John to help us out after the election and open the vote for Presiding Officer and Premier after the national election and the claiming of seats in the Estats Xhenerais. I'm hoping that will be more active than in the past since we have a few new citizens, in the past we only had 3 active citizens.

Quote from: Iason Taiwos on September 02, 2023, 03:31:08 PMI believe the issue Tric'hard is talking about may possibly be Superman #500. This run of Superman (from his death to resurrection) was fairly popular at the time, so they printed a whole bunch of every issue...I'm still finding them in dollar bins. However, #500 is a major key, and having it signed would make it slightly more valuable than an unsigned copy.

So probably worth $1.23

The only comic I have that might be mildly valuable is the issue of Superman when he returns from the dead and the plastic sleeve is autographed by the artist. I also have the first ever appearance in marvel comics of The Punisher but it is in horrible condition.

Quote from: Sir Txec dal Nordselvă, UrB on July 27, 2023, 11:54:57 AMThe bill cannot be Clarked until approved by the CRL.

It has now received approval of three committee members. Do I have to resubmit the bill or can this stand as the submission?

The James "Jimmy" Letherer Memorial Civil Rights Day

Whereas Talossa does not currently have a national Civil Rights Day, and

Whereas at least one Talossan is related  to a man who walked the 54 miles from Selma, Alabama to Montgomery, Alabama on crutches (he only had one leg) with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on March 21, 1965.

Therefore be it enacted by the Ziu that the second subsection of the fifth section of Title F of el Lexhatx, which currently reads

5.2.1. the month of March: Berber Heritage Month. All citizens are encouraged to express themselves in whatever medium is appropriate, on the question of Talossa's real or imagined Berbercentric prehistory.
5.2.2. 7 April: Cjovani Day. This holiday honors a trailblazing example of Talossan subcultural development, the Cjovani Benitians, and serves as a day for Talossans to consider the potential for future subcultures in their own provinces
5.2.3. June 24: Immigration Day
5.2.4. September 28: Democracy Day
5.2.5. October 16: Publicity Day

Maricopa / Re: Maricopan Poker Tournament
July 24, 2023, 10:33:59 PM
I like the idea of a Poker Tournament but I wonder if we should perhaps make it the Poker Tour? Have a tournament named after each province and perhaps even Pengopats with the Grand Championship held in Maricopa?

Quote from: Baron Alexandreu Davinescu on July 20, 2023, 11:28:44 AMI should be listed as Alexandreu Davinescu (MC-TNC), and I think convention is that your province is listed in the Senats, so it would be [SEN-VD] for you.

You also need to fix the quotes in the bill, since right now it just says "quote."  The code to start a quote is:
and to end it, it's
I think i corrected it
