Txec, thank you for getting this going and also thanks to the Baron for making updates. One quick note: 30 calendar days is not August 31st but August 21st or 22nd unless I'm mistaken.
Fixed the typo.
Who designed these "optional questions"? The issue of "Racial Identity" is something which makes no sense outside of the United States and its weird racial categories stemming from its history of slavery. I am reminded of the South African woman who identified as "Coloured" (i.e. of mixed ethnic background), who was "white" by Brazilian standards and Black by US standards.
The incredible national chauvinism of US Americans - assuming their categories are universal - should have no place in Talossa. I repeat: who designed these "optional questions"?

Those optional questions were carried over from the previous 2019 (?) census and I can't recall who was in government at the time but I am curious too. Edited to add it was either a FreeDem or MRPT government but I am not sure if that addresses who designed it as it could've also been carried over from the 2016 (?) census.
I guess I also need to clarify, my identifying proudly as a Black person is not weird nor is that true of any person of color identifying as such as a part of the global African diaspora...which is far more extensive than the United States and Brazil.
Found it. The racial identity question was in the 2019 Census administered by Gluc. Results announcement thread here: https://talossa.proboards.com/thread/13180/february-2019-census-results (Not sure on 2016 though...)

Actual answer: I believe it was Dan Forestal (https://talossa.proboards.com/thread/4092/national-census), in 2009, as part of the first census (https://wiki.talossa.com/National_Census_2009).

Just to be clear, I didn't design any of the questions. They were carried over from the previous census, which is required by law unless any changes are approved by the Ziu.
At the time the political affiliation question was also entirely write in rather than limited to the existing political parties.

Thanks Gluc and Luc for finding that. I am assuming that the changing or eliminating of that question would be approved by legislation.
I am also moved to note that we find that this becomes an issue and concern 14 years after the first asking of the question.

@Danihel Forestal any comment on this sudden issue?

@Sir Txec dal Nordselvă, UrB Mr. Secretary, would you have time in the near future to alert the six early respondents concerning the revisions the Baron made?

Naturally.
My gratitude flows naturally to you.
I can confirm that at least 4 of the early respondents have re-entered their census data as of this morning.
Good morning Mr. Secretary
@Sir Txec dal Nordselvă, UrB Do you know if we have results from the National Census as I think it ended a couple weeks ago?
Thank you, I know this is not an urgent matter with the imminent election. Just curious.

Thanks for the question (and the reminder). I'll look into the results as I have them on a different computer.

I'm assuming you mean changes for the NEXT census right? In two years? Lord help me if I have to do another one so soon!!
Yes, these would be changes to the next census. Better to do it now while we remember, rather than hope we remember in two years.
