I would like to submit my application to join the college as a herald. I've long been interested in heraldry, and have begun working on a few unrelated-to-Talossa heraldry projects in my free time. Any help I can give, I would be more than happy to.
Azul !
Thanks for your interest in joining the College.
However, you would have to join as a Fellow, after passing an otherwise easy test.
The recent promotions as 'Heralds' were of one long-serving member of the College, whilst the other had often helped the members in an unofficial capacity over the years.
Look forward to hear from you.

Of course! I understand I would need to put in my time, the title there is irrelevant as far as I am concerned :)
Excellent! Some of the fellowships are currently in use, but I don't think they all are. Very excited to have new people interested and glad that this revival is catching on!
There's also no reason why we can't create a new entry level fellowship since the Jolly Good Fellow is currently in use.
Sure. What would be a good punny name for one?

I was wrong about our entry-level fellow. The OAF or Oblivious Auditing Fellow is the fellowship we usually give to new members who are "learning the ropes." Once our newest applicant is admitted, he should become the OAF. I was the OAF for a time before I was granted my own fellowship, when I became the Fulbright Fellow and in time, the Kingsbridge Pursuivant and now The Rouge Elephant Herald
I believe our current Dean, The Noir Eagle Herald, was also the Oblivious Auditing Fellow at one time. I think this is a good tradition to continue with for future members of the Royal College.
Therefore, should S:reu Autófil be admitted, he should be named the Oblivious Auditing Fellow. Once he has successfully completed the arms of an applicant, the College can grant him his own, unique fellowship.
Makes sense to me!
This all makes sense. I would be interested ion assisting with the Department of Vexillology as well, as I have long enjoyed the design and study of flags.
Just wanted to see what the word may be on this? Not sure if the Oblivious Auditing Fellowship is currently available or not, I know the RTCOA has been looking to prune inactive members so if someone else has to vacate the fellowship first, I understand.
Well, I have been empowered to act on behalf of the Dean, so I'll message him today, but if we don't hear, I'll just do it. I'm not super eager to do that, but we are not in ordinary times and technically it's okay.

I think we should welcome our newest applicant as the Oblivious Auditing Fellow, and as his first task (and seeing there aren't really any other applications for Arms) he should go through the process of requesting and designing his own Coat of Arms. It would be a great way to get his feet wet. Thoughts?

Well, then by the power vested in me by the Dean and with the agreement of my colleague, I hereby pronounce it so. And I believe the new OAF should get to work as the Rouge Elephant Herald suggests!

To get the best experience, I highly suggest our new OAF follow the steps found here in order to begin his task: http://wittenberg.talossa.com/index.php?topic=1135.0
