Quote from: Breneir Tzaracomprada on October 20, 2024, 08:16:49 PMWe have a new troika of FreeDems acting under color of the Civil Service to suppress compliments apparently.

It will be fascinating to see whether the presumptive new King and the presumptive new SoS will go ahead with their intention to renounce their partisan affiliations. Why should they bother if they're still going to be "FreeDems" as far as creepy-crust here is concerned?

The presumptive new King will indeed be leaving his political party as promised. Nothing has changed. Oh, and creepy-crust? Name calling is not necessary.

Yeah I think everyone needs to just calm down and step back. It's this kind of bickering and finger-pointing that makes everyone uncomfortable.

You are free to see things as you wish Brenier. Plus, for the record, I appointed Sir Luc well over a month ago when the King named me as his heir. Anyway, I'm done for now. I plan on spending the rest of my weekend relaxing before work in the morning. Have a good rest of your day Brenier.

You seem to think any internal policy I make would be binding on a successor. I stated I would never be a party leader again in the past. That is a personal choice. Any successor could just ignore or cancel any internal policies. That is why I've never made any policy. If you'll notice, I even reconfirmed the rules of Wittiquette when I first became SoS to show that the current occupant of the Chancery was willing for those rules to be maintained. I could just as easily have changed them or completely reversed them, because they are a policy, not a law.

From my point of view, that is a reasonable position to take.

I do believe I've said it was a mistake, and I also remember saying I would not bind a future SoS by a policy. Nevertheless, enough is enough. The point is made. I've worked tirelessly for four years to be a good SoS, and I am proud of my work.

Quote from: Miestră Schivă, UrN on October 20, 2024, 03:49:29 PMI take exception to the idea that my Government would interfere in any way with the Chancery's internal decision-making processes.

If only we could go back in time to November 2022 and have a stern talking to...(checks notes) Party President and Secretary of State Txec dal Nordselva.

Enough Brenier. Your point has been made. I've apologized. Enough.

Again you read bias where none exists. I'm simply sick of being asked the question.

Quote from: Sir Txec dal Nordselvă, UrB on October 20, 2024, 03:41:17 PMI really think you only see what you want. I said initially it "appeared rude", not that it was rude. I then said "bordering on sexual harassment", not that you had committed sexual harassment.

I am fully within my rights as Witt admin to lock threads and I did so to prevent the possibility of you unintentionally going too far. What you see as bias or aggressiveness was really me trying to help you to avoid problems.

Listen, I'm on my way out and I'm trying to ensure an orderly transition. This fight you seek to want to pick with me is unnecessary.

Did the Chancery consider any non-FreeDems for these two deputy appointments, Txec? I have asked this a few times and you have not yet answered.

Maybe you think I answer to you?

Actually, only Ian will be a FreeDem since I believe Sir Luc is also leaving the party upon appointment.
#417
That will be up to my successor.
#418
In about 24 hours or so, I will likely no longer be the SoS nor a FreeDem. My plan at the moment is to ensure that there are people in place to do the various tasks until a new SoS is appointed.

The Chancery hereby appoints Ian Plätschisch as Deputy Secretary of State. His duties shall be to act as the Deputy Administrator of Wittenberg.

Your comments about Sir Luc's appearance were bordering on sexual harassment. Frankly, I'm surprised he hasn't sued YOU yet.  No one wants to see those kind of comments, and it doesn't really matter your intention either. I locked the thread because it became apparent you weren't going to stop. Once the Tuischach weighs in, as it is in his purview as moderator, I will do as he wishes.

Words matter, and I'd encourage you to look at it from another perspective.
