I struggled to understand how to use past conditional form for verbs, how to translate 'he would have done this if he could do that'.. can you help me ?

For the past conditional, you use conditional form of the perfect. As in, "he
would have done this" becomes
o tenadra façat acest.
The second part of your sentence is just a normal conditional, so it'd be
schi o povadra façar acest.
