Well, for changing "Getafix" back to "Panoramix", I assumed it was because of the drug connotations. ("This is America! We have an opioid crisis! You can't keep calling the druid 'Getafix'!")

The English translations are wonderful - and all the better when you read the (original) French, which contains just as many puns and wordplays as the English. I giggle at both versions - excellent. These books I got contain brand new English translations... in Volume One, it says "The previous excellent English translations by Anthea Bell and Derek Hockridge were wonderful, but our goal is to help make Asterix as accessible as possible to new generations here in the USA, while maintaining everything that made Asterix great in the first place."
Come on, US - read Asterix! :)

This weather report was from awhile back. We had tornadoes in my area the other night, and I probably could have recorded a live, but crude video of the proceedings. (Not in Talossa proper, but don't the catchment areas deserve some love?)
Were you being serious here, Iason? I assumed you were joking because Fora Talossa is not a live news channel.
Quote from: Mic'haglh Autófil, SMC EiP on April 07, 2024, 08:14:21 PMApril 7 is Cjovani Day, which "honors a trailblazing example of Talossan subcultural development, the Cjovani Benitians, and serves as a day for Talossans to consider the potential for future subcultures in their own provinces".I can't speak for the other Cjovani, but my April 7th wasn't very pleasant...was plagued by allergies all day! (And today too!)
While not a Cjovani myself, to my fellow Benitians who are, I hope today has been a particularlay good day for you in whatever you have been up to.
One of the hallmarks of Cjovani culture is the the viewing of Spaghetti Western films. Do any Talossans have a favorite Spaghetti Western film? If so, why?
Quote from: Mic'haglh Autófil, SMC EiP on March 27, 2024, 02:10:56 PMIs there a way to contact a bunch of Benitians at the same time to broaden the response pool, or is this effectively a case of "you snooze, you lose"?
