Fora Talossa presents the 58th General Election Party Debate
FreeDems representative and Seneschal Ian Platschisch and TNC representative Baron Alexandreu Davinescu debate pertinent issues as Talossans go to the ballot box in the Kingdom's 58th General Election
Hey, I heard my name! ;D
Seriously though, I think that suggesting there is a comparable difference between keeping the Kingdom of Talossa versus making Péngöpäts a province--or, more notably, any of the government reforms offered by the TNC--is a bit of a strange argument.
Of course, the Monarchism versus Republicanism debate always ranks as being high importance; however, if our Monarch is removed, how would a government function any differently without a monarch? I would argue that campaign platforms on the basis of government reform or coming up with new ideas for government functions would be all the more important if we became a Republic.
Moreover, the question of whether our penguin nationals should be able to stand beside their brothers and sisters in their own full fledged province is one that no longer should be brushed aside over human squabbling about the "scoundrel" in Colorado. They are just as vital to understanding Talossan-ity as is our King, and they deserve to have their homeland made a province!
I'm genuinely curious and do not know the answer. Do we have people living in Pengopats?
I do not believe we have any Antarctic citizens.

We do indeed have Talossans living in Péngöpäts. As they tell me everyday, they are just as important as their fellow Talossan humans!

I hope to elevate their status from simply penguin nationals to penguin citizens with the creation of Péngöpäts, the province.
By the way, there's an amazing series about life for the people who live in McMurdo Station in Antarctica: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzlA9HDNwBs
I've personally always wanted to edit the Catchment areas so that people living in polar regions are included in Pengopats. I especially supported this when I lived in Alaska.
Great debate, well done to all involved!
