Quote from: Barclamïu da Miéletz on March 11, 2024, 04:53:54 AMIt was - in 2019 the European Parliament voted to end Daylight Savings Time, and a deadline of March 2021 was set, responsibility for negotiating the specifics passed to individual EU member states at Council level. In order for the proposal to be adopted, it must receive a qualified majority of votes at the EU Council. To attain a qualified majority, the proposal must get the votes of 55% of member states, representing 65% of the EU population.Quote from: Dame Litz Cjantscheir, UrN on March 11, 2024, 04:30:23 AMInteresting, I swear I have heard about plans to end itQuote from: Barclamïu da Miéletz on March 11, 2024, 02:23:49 AM@Glüc da Dhi S.H. the EU plans to stop observing daylight savings this year, meaning, this year will be the last time we switch to summer time and we will stay that way. So my theory is that CEST will be removed and CET will be modified to be the former CEST (which is UTC+2). This does bring pros such as that days are longer but also cons which are that people sleep shorter. There are no plans for the EU to end Daylight Savings Time this year.
In 2018, the European Commission proposed an end to clock shifts. However, the European Council has not agreed on its position. The European Parliament voted in favour of adopting the change. However the Council and Parliament must reach an agreement for the change to occur - which as of the time of writing hasn't yet happened (and given the Council needs unity within EU before acting - it could be a while).

Quote from: Miestră Schivă, UrN on January 13, 2024, 09:25:29 PMBE IT ENACTED by the King, Senäts and Cosă in Ziu assembled that the following section shall be added to El Lexhatx A.7.3.1:I would suggest that we open up the definition of 7.3.1 and of the person(s) U18, to not be exclusively Talossan Citizens (or Talossans U18 - as Talossan Citizen, arguably has a more limited & defined definition and excludes, for example perspectives). I am of the viewpoint that when it comes to protecting minors, we shouldn't allow for any 'loophole' to exist in our laws.Quote7.3.1.1. "Sexual violence" shall include abuse of trust, where a Talossan citizen over the age of 18 initiates sexual conduct (physically or by means of words or images) with a Talossan citizen under the age of 18; and the citizen over 18 is in a position of supervision, authority or tutelage over the citizen under 18.
Quote7.3.1. Whoever commits physical or sexual violence or threats thereof against any person or "judicial person" under Talossan law is guilty of a felony.
