Just last year, the Canadian House of Commons passed a bill to censure the developers of an app for ArriveCan: https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/arrivecan-contempt-parliament-1.7167513
They call it contempt of Parliament, but it's exactly the same thing.
I do think if you'll investigate the facts of the case, or look back at when you were told about them, you might see our motivation here. Breneir engaged in conduct that was wrong and gross but not criminal. That's why this bill doesn't impose any penalties or do anything besides express the opinion of our Ziu. That would be a bill of attainder, and illegal under the OrgLaw.
