Quote from: Mic'haglh Autófil, SMC EiP on April 23, 2024, 07:42:21 PMWith four Senators casting a vote, this bill passes the Senate by a vote of 3-1.

As the bill has passed both houses of the Chancellery, it now goes to the King or Vicere for approval or veto. If neither takes any action on the bill by Calondă Mai, it will become law and the Maestro shall begin preparations for the referendum.

Calondă Mai having come, the Maestro shall proceed in accordance with the law. (I'm happy to help on this if needed, though I'm not sure I am -- or should be -- privy to the list of email addresses so the actual sending I leave to you.)

Quote from: Zilect Uómbat Firă on April 30, 2024, 04:59:46 PMMaybe there should be a redistricting commission created to look into how to best redraw the catchment areas
I'm not opposed to this idea in principle, but I think it's best we also don't overcomplicate the process or add too much red tape to it.

This petition is actually 1 day early as Braneu didn't post until 17 April. 15 days would be 2 May. I'll send the oath of citizenship tomorrow.

Braneu, this time, if you say to me "I hope you are happy" in Talossan then my answer will be yes. Talossa is better place with Braneu. Also, is Cafe Pressente still an embassy?

Wittenberg / Citizenship Petition for Bråne...
Last post by þerxh Sant-Enogat - Yesterday at 12:10:32 PM
WHEREAS it has been more than a fortnight since @Bråneu Excelsio started to post again on Wittenberg, following his re-introduction to the citizens of the Kingdom by our beloved Minister of Immigration, and

WHEREAS he has, this time again, demonstrated an active, genuine, and continuing interest in Talossan life, culture, and

WHEREAS he really desires regaining citizenship in the Kingdom of Talossa, and

WHEREAS by all indications and by experience it appears that he would be a loyal and dedicated citizen, and a credit to this nation if he obtains the grant of citizenship he requests, and

WHEREAS he will certainly spice up (with caffein) and enrich again our Talossan culture,

THEREFORE I, þerxh Sant-Enogat, a citizen in good standing of the province of Cézembre and of the Kingdom of Talossa, do by the present petition the Secretary of State @Sir Txec dal Nordselvă, UrB to issue a grant of citizenship to Prospective Citizen Bråneu Excelsio, as specified by law.

*Comments on RZ22: Just six weeks ago, on 15 March, I called for the immediate end to King John's reign in a speech to the Free Democrat party convention. This was not an easy call but was based on a renewed review of John's presence over my own term as seneschal and the subsequent terms of the Excelsio and Sant-Enogat ministries. Despite promises to do otherwise, the King's nonfeasance had indeed continued just as Miestra and Ian had warned during debates concerning previous reform legislation. The progress we've seen on this seemingly intractible issue through multipartisan discourse and cooperation have made these some of my proudest days as a Talossan and I express my thanks to Ian, Baron Davinescu, Miestra, Gluc, Therxh, Carlus, Dama Litz, Barclamiu, and Luc for their participation. I also thank King John for his invaluable service to Talossa, acknowledgement that he has not been sufficiently present, and affirming publicly his intention to abdicate once a successor is chosen. Thoughts of a new king Txec who will serve as a just and unifying symbol of an enduring Talossa lead me to enthusiastic Per on the amendment.
