ya it used to be The Wallflowers and then there was that huge argument about if The Wallflowers only existed cause Jakob's dad and if we should have an official band that isn't related to Bob or something, I forget the specifics. I tried to get the official band to be The Foo Fighters after that but everyone was like, "But Taylor is friends with that dude who was the drummer for that guy from Nirvana," so there were more discussions of nepotism, but we all agreed that One Direction would be the best choice to represent our nation. I think this happened before you joined so that's probably why you don't remember it.

You can't have me arrested simply because I stated I prefer Foo Fighters to One Direction, I don't think it's nepotism that Taylor, the Foo Fighters drummer, happens to know the drummer for that guy from that band Nirvana, but that's my opinion. When it was decided One Direction was the official band of Talossa I didn't argue about it.

TAYLOR. Taylor Hawkins. He is the drummer of the Foo Fighters. HOWEVER the lead singer of the Foo Fighters used to be in Nirvana with Kurt Cobain. SO IT IS POSSIBLE that if we chose the Foo Fighters to be the official band of Talossa, that the only reason they would be chosen is because of that connection to Nirvana!
normally people would think that Dave Grohl is a superstar in his own right, and it doesn't matter that he was in Nirvana. BUT
we chose a NEW official band (One Direction) because the OLD official band was The Wallflowers, and the lead singer of The Wallflowers is Bob Dylan's son. So people were like, "NEPOTISM THAT IS BOB DYLAN'S SON!!!" so no matter how great Dave Grohl is, it could still look like nepotism to some people.
For what it's worth I think those people are wrong and that the Foo Fighters should be the official band of Talossa, but I was outvoted and the official band is One Direction - not the foo fighters or the wallflowers

All y'all are too young to remember that, in King Robert I's day, there was a perpetual feud over declaring Gloria Estefan Talossa's National Entertainer. The King's crony, Wes Erni, was a drooling fanboy of hers, and when he got a majority in the Cosa he'd make her National Entertainer. And the instant he lost a majority, she got demoted, only to be reinstated the next time Wes could make it happen. It was a long-running national joke, not sure when it ended.
Anyway, the National Entertainer of Talossa should surely be a Talossan (https://www.vostoklake.org/).
it ended when The Wallflowers became the official band, but that was temporary. Now it's One Direction.
