Each Sunday, teams play, and ultimately their schedule will consist of two games against each division opponent (one home, one away), and one against each non-division opponent (split between home and away, alternating year after year). Throw a bye week or two in there, and the Final will be played around early October.
As with before, I can provide more information on request regarding the scorination process and the file I have written to simulate a game of Talossan football, and the slew of stats and probabilities will be making a return this year because
I am a massive nerd facing the odds as an underdog is fun.
Can Péngöpäts defend their title? Will the Blizzard thaw in the Maricopan Sun? So Pengopats would have to qualify for the AFT just to defend their title in the first place.

Alternatively, perhaps they automatically qualify by winning the whole thing last year? Open to feedback on this.
In the meantime, I will approve the addition of the TNC team and the Ministry of Justice, pending the submission of Talossan- and English-language names (as well as a TZL name for the Bedposts, please, Braneu). I think a play-in qualifier mitigates some of my concern about politics-centric teams, since it's no longer a question of who can sign up first, so much as a question of whose team gets the chips to fall in their favor. RNGesus knows no favoritism and shows no mercy.
