uttermost important argument - schematic auxlangs are no fun :P seriously, first, there are thirteen of them in a dozen. so, why esperanto? why not ido, mundolinco, why not even volapük, latino sine flexione, interlingua, interlingue
et cetera ad infinitum nauseamque ;) second, (tldr;) no one really needs esperanto.
since i have been lecturing interlinguistics and submerged myself into the world of linguistics of language contact, i have serious doubts that besides personal affections to it, any auxlang is of any good. people are often seduced by the idealism, apparent purity, neutrality and easiness, but do they ever get those? esperantists et al. seem more and more like cultists to me - always talking how good the esperanto is, but why do people not really listen? why people do not enthusiastically jump on the wagon and get the ride? there are certain psycho- and sociolinguistic factors which prevent that from ever happening (namely absence of real L1 speakers). if not pushed by force, none such project will ever be successful on its own, because you have to be lang freak to give it any value; common people do not give a heck. otoh, talossan is connected to more or less natural community, it has high potential, if talossa keeps moving on, to become a lang people will use to think about stuff. that why not both :)

Azul! I play csgo at very well level, I even played at local state tournaments. It was my main purpose some years, but now it's in the past. Also I play dota 2, osu!, Sid Meier's civilization 5/6 and Valorant. And what games do you prefer?

Because Esperanto has a global speaker base in the hundreds of thousands, and you get to talk to people who're other than hard-core conlag oddballs.
The biggest problem with Talossan right now is that we have just finished
13 years healing a deep schism about the spelling of the language, and we still don't have a single official grammar (there are two older grammars which are both "good enough" but contradict each other). These things take up far much more work than joining la monda Esperantistaro.

I played Civ 5 a lot a few years ago but not so much anymore. I tried getting into EU4 recently but I wasn't willing to put in the hundreds of hours it would take to learn it.
I've played Rocket League a few times but I'm terrible at it.

We can throw a mini tournament, CIV is one of the best competitive games and it doesn't require fast internet/close proximity of players. Or at least we can try to play one game with Talossa's CIVers xd

That's true, the only drawback is that everyone has to be available for eight hours at the same time. Did they ever get around to creating a sequential multi-player mode that does not have to be simultaneous?

civ 5 was quite a good game, though i never really fell for civ 6. the change of game mechanics was too far for me.
recently, me, fan of strategic games, have discovered ANNO 1404, nice piece, surely recommendable.

yes, the esperantists are the loudest and biggest club, true. but is it worth joining it? just asking, i never find it attractive. and i seriously doubt the numbers they gave about how many people speaks it and suchs. there is a lack of out-of-sandbox research done on different topics in interlinguistics including the real state of L2 and L1 speakers, cos majority of the work is done from inside and is scientifically dubious, at least.
i cannot promise anything, although you may try rack and thumbscrew, but i would very much like to be involved in contribution to the new edition of
ün guizua compläts àl glheth talossan.
@Nick Korotov Prospective citizens are reminded not to change your forum avatar or account display name until full citizenship has been gained. Many thanks.
I don't like the thing that my last name is showed, if you don't mind
I've changed your profile name to "Nick K."
Don't worry about your full name appearing in the title or text of this particular thread. The immigration board is only visible to logged in and registered forum members and not to the public and doesn't get picked up by search engines.
If online privacy is a concern, I recommend that you head on over to the Talossan language sub-board and enquire about adopting a Talossan translation for your name.
Does online chess count as off-witt correspondence with the prospective citizen? (Hint

Am I able to change my name to Talossan one or do I need to wait until I become a citizen?
Marcel Eðo Pairescu Tafial helped me to find a right translation
It *was* the case in the past that prospective citizens had to wait to become full citizens before adopting a Talossan name,
But, both, the Prime Minister and I are of the view that such restrictions on the use of the national language should not exist.
So, yeah, go ahead and use the translation as soon as you want.
You're actually eligible to be petitioned now anyway.

Cool. Only, I'm not too keen on writing petitions myself. I guess strictly it's legal, maybe, but I'd be petitioning myself, which seems kinda odd at best
Shoot, I forgot I had to be the one to do it. Coming right up.
