Title: Random stuff I've learned in Talossa.
Post by: Audrada Roibeardet on August 17, 2024, 09:00:23 AM
Well, Talossa and the GTA.

I'll keep adding stuff as I discover it.

There's this local magazine called "Shepard Express. You might assume that it's a religious magazine but it actually leans pretty far left. There's a new issue every month and it's totally free. You can find it throughout the GTA. Just look for the newspaper stands.

If you find yourself in Talossa and you happen to have a radio, tune in to 88.9 Radio Milwaukee. It's a listener sponsored radio station that plays indie and alternative music. They also showcase local acts. Radio Milwaukee introduced me to Immortal Girlfriend and Video Sex Priests, both local bands. If you're not in Talossa, you can listen online or download their app. Bonus points: the studio is in Talossa.

You can visit the Milwaukee Public Museum for free on the first Thursday of every month.

Stay tuned for more fun facts!

There's a program in Milwaukee called "Bicycle Benefits". Actually, it's available throughout America. In fact, the program was in my hometown as well.

Anyway, you pay $5 and get a helmet sticker. Present your sticker at participating locations and you get a discount. Sometimes you get free stuff!

I just started volunteering with them and got a free sticker.

NOTE: This is not an advertisement. Just more random stuff.
