Title: Talossan politics
Post by: Iac Éovard Valadeir on February 16, 2025, 07:14:34 PM
Azul, everyone

As a newcomer here, I'd like to know more about the workings of Talossa's politics. I see references to some form of monarchy, but I assume there's democracy as well. Are there different political parties?

Ps: I'm really bad at using forums. If I've messed something up, please let me know

We are a constitutional monarchy. I'm the King of Talossa and before you try to kick me off my throne, you should know I'm one of the good ones haha.

We do have several political parties in Talossa. I'm apolitical as the monarch, and we have an ethical viewpoint against "broosking". Broosking is trying to get new immigrants to join your political party. We universally agree that is a bad thing. Once you've gained citizenship, and as we are approaching a general election, I'm sure you'll find a political home.

Welcome to Talossa.

He is a vast improvement in our monarchy, soon to be new Talossan. Also, if anyone engages in broosking please feel free to alert folks here. Discussion ok, recruitment of applicant citizens not ok.

If you check out the wiki page about our last General Election (https://wiki.talossa.com/July_2024_General_Election), you can see the list of the parties which currently have seats in the legislature. Our Government consists of a three-party coalition right now.
