Title: Political history question
Post by: Miestră Schivă, UrN-GC on March 31, 2025, 11:46:31 PM
When did the RUMP party actually cease to exist?

@Baron Alexandreu Davinescu resigned as leader on July 26 2019 (https://talossa.proboards.com/thread/13545/resignation?page=1&scrollTo=165694). He handed over leadership to @Eðo Grischun , who himself resigned (https://talossa.proboards.com/thread/13604/resignation) on August 23 that year. As far as I can tell the "last man standing" was BenArd, who was trying to organise a party registration (https://talossa.proboards.com/post/167844) as of 3 days before Balloting Day, but didn't succeed. I've been poking around to try to find the actual announcement that the RUMP had ceased to exist, but I can't find one.

The RUMP never ceased to exist. I hear it now runs AVANTS from a shadowy room.

I don't think there ever was an announcement, or any attempt to choose a leader after Eðo resigned. The party just stopped functioning.

There wasn't an official announcement of the party ceasing.

Around August 2019 I resigned from leading the party. After that point BenArd was the RUMP's sole MC.  I gather he made some kind of attempt to muster a revival for the next election, but didn't get a response.  The party simply failed to run in that next election.

BenArd went to the ZPT while I went on to stand as a Peculiarist.

Basically, the party fizzled out with its members going inactive one by one until there was none.
