Title: Infotecă: the people deserve to know what's happening in their country.

Infotecă: the people deserve to know

Infotecă (https://talossa.com/infoteca/) is the information hub of the Kingdom of Talossa.  It hosts a great deal of useful data:

For months now,  as of this posting, the Government has not bothered to update this information.  They probably aren't trying to hide anything from the people, but neglect isn't good, either.  It takes only a few minutes to update everything -- it's a simple matter of copying and pasting, and detailed directions are available.  There's just no excuse.

The Opposition does not agree with this state of affairs, and we pledge to try to rectify it.  We will find out what is going on, and try to ensure it doesn't continue.

The Progressive Alliance will update and support Infotecă.  We believe in transparency: the people have a right to know.

The lack of action on this issue by the party in charge can really only be caused by one of two things. Either laziness or they are trying to hide something. My tendency is to believe it is laziness, what really is there to hide unless there is some way the leaders are stopping immigration or stealing from the accounts (which I can't imagine).

I agree that it's probably not intentional.  Braneu is the one in charge of updating this stuff, I think, and I can personally vouch that he wouldn't be willfully hiding things.  He's a good guy.  He might just be too personally busy right now, and no one else cares to do it for him.

Plus, we can see for ourselves how many applicants get posted and how many get naturalized, and we can see how many expenditures get posted to the Ziu, etc.  Almost all of this information exists in the open already, scattered around different places or waiting to be counted.  It's just now being left out of sight.

If immigration had dropped down to zero again, like it did for four months last term, then we'd be able to tell that from other signs.  But we really shouldn't have to work to figure out things like that, since providing that basic data takes only a few minutes each month.  It's a basic governmental function, and it needs to happen.  The people deserve to know.

we are working on this issue presently, determining various things, most notably who will do the updating, etc. Please allow us the space to get this issue resolved. It'll be quite soon.

For myself, I appreciate everyone's effort at transparency. Thanks!
