Azul.
Just moments ago, the Ziu passed a Sense of the Ziu entitled a First Step Towards Decency. It passed with an overwhelming majority. This bill expresses the belief of our legislature that MC Tzaracomprada engaged in sexual harassment of another Talossan. His actions were not illegal under current law, but things can be horrible even if they're not illegal.
In one sense, this was a difficult issue. MC Tzaracomprada is a citizen of the Kingdom of Talossa, which entitles him to free speech. We don't want people feeling like they need to censor themselves out of fear. He's also a legislator and politician, and we don't want even the appearance of political oppression.
But it is important to note that multiple people told MC Tzaracomprada multiple times that his behavior was inappropriate, and there was such universal disgust with his actions that
everyone united to address it. This wasn't a tough call.
MC Tzaracomprada has now become one of very few people in Talossan history to be condemned by a united nation that would not tolerate his sexual harassment. And the discussion will continue: how do we prevent this from happening again?
However, this is also an opportunity for MC Tzaracomprada. Throughout this process, he has been mocking and unrepentant. But this can be an inflection point for him: a moment to turn over a new leaf. And it can be a moment of grace for the rest of the country. And so I would like to invite MC Tzaracomprada to take responsibility for his actions, apologize to the people, and describe how he would like to move on.
Given these opportunities in the past, MC Tzaracomprada has chosen to quibble over phrasing, insisted that his behavior was fine, or attempted to distract by pointing to some other alleged misdeed. And it's possible he'll do that again today. But I hope not. It would be best for everyone to put this behind us, and it would certainly be best for MC Tzaracomprada himself, who I'm sure doesn't want this to become his major legacy or to remain so isolated. I think he can have the moral character to square up to this moment and finally rise to meet it.
The quality of mercy is not strained.
It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven
Upon the place beneath. It is twice blest:
It blesseth him that gives and him that takes.
'Tis mightiest in the mightiest; it becomes
The thronèd monarch better than his crown.I now invite MC
@Breneir Tzaracomprada to respond, if he would like to do so.

Baron, when Luc expressed the harm he felt from my words I did apologize without delay. That was before you Clarked this bill. I thought that was the moment to move forward not now. That apology was described as "nonsense" and you then moved forward with the resolution which was passed. You say now that you want what I already did a few weeks ago?
I moved on a long time ago, Baron. It is you, Miestra, and allies who have focused on events which occurred last October not me. I invite you and everyone else to accept the public apology I already made.
I also want to thank the URL member who voted for the Rough Music Resolution. That took some serious cojones and I genuinely admire that.
MC Tzaracomprada, I am going to quote your "apology" in full below.
Quote from: Breneir Tzaracomprada on June 26, 2025, 12:48:03 PMI am sincerely glad you've found your voice, Luc, and spoken publicly on this matter but I again reject the mischaracterization of my words or actions as deflection, gaslighting, or whataboutism. And while I've never complimented someone with malicious intent (including the instances being referenced here) it does seem that you and others are committed to seeing it that way. For any discomfort I have caused you, whether it was intended or not, I apologize. As you have stated above the impact on you has been negative so intent is irrelevant.
I have said before I am someone who compliments people with ease but I need to remember not everyone will receive it the same way or in the way it was intended. I view being a "hype-man" who builds people up as a positive and therefore prioritized being true to myself, as I will always strive to tell people something positive about themselves when I see it, but recognize especially when it comes to appearances that no one owes me reciprocity or to see it that way themselves.
If you will notice, most of what you're saying here is actually defending yourself and implying that your sexual harassment of another was fine.
You say that you "reject the mischaracterization," and that you've "never complimented someone with malicious intent." You imply that we're wrong, but we're "committed to seeing it that way." And while you do say the words "I apologize," you carefully qualify that statement. And of course, the entire rest of your "apology" is devoted to defending why you did nothing wrong.
I won't argue with you about this further, but I thought it was important to offer you a chance to clear the air and move on -- to show that you had actually
learned from this. Please take my advice when I say that your grudging whisper of half-hearted contrition didn't read like that. You might want to take this opportunity to apologize, fully and openly and without justifying why you were actually correct when you harassed another person.

Baron, no, I really meant that I felt remorse for the harm Luc described. One of the few unique aspects for me is that I can like people who disparage me. I will like Luc for his intelligence and competence no matter what he says because I am capable of seeing those things through any vitriol. I will like you for your commitment to reason no matter what unreasonable names you call me. I will like Miestra's creative flair with words no matter how many times they are turned against me. Someone once told me he "encourages others to be their best selves" and I do think seeing the positive aspects of people is one way to make that happen.
In the case of Luc it made him feel uncomfortable. My apology stands for that and I will wait as long as necessary for that apology to be accepted.
In the meantime, like any Talossan, I will seek what is meaningful for me in the Kingdom. And hope that others will find meaning in constructive and non-toxic activities.
