Title: Mid-Term Review: Culture Ministry
Post by: Breneir Tzaracomprada on July 26, 2025, 02:48:35 PM
So far this term, there have been a couple of terpelaziuns for the Ministry both of which were from the Green Party.

In the Throne Speech, plans for the Ministry were described as follows:
Quote from: King Txec on May 11, 2025, 08:03:21 AMSpeaking of Xheralt Del'Encradeir, my Culture Ministry is very proud to have appointed the Oldest of Old Growth Talossans to the Bureau of Home Affairs. No-one is better equipped to organise TalossaFests and to "bring Talossanity back" to its historic homeland. The Culture Ministry will also continue its commitment from the previous term to fund the continuing series of Teach Yourself Talossan lessons. Ár bupt, c'è adüc 'n naziun ladintsch, eða à mhïus 'n naziun dove toct i tzară isch "pärtsmint ladintsch".

It is a mixed story on review by the Opposition for the Culture Ministry. The commitment to fund a continuation of the Teach Yourself Talossan lessons created by Alexandreu Davinescu is a success. This is confirmed by exchanges in a terpelaziun on 3 July:

Quote from: Miestră Schivă, UrN-GC on July 03, 2025, 04:14:29 PMEstimat Tuischac'h, my Ministry has authorised the release of $US75 to Baron A. Davinescù for the provision of three more Teach Yourself Talossan lessons.

Unfortunately, there has been less apparent success with the work of the Bureau of Home Affairs. We say, apparent, because there have been repeated suggestions there is work behind-the-scenes which the Opposition is not aware of. Besides the appointment itself and despite the opacity of some Government affairs we are comfortable with reporting no evidence of activity by the Bureau of Home Affairs concerning the organizing of a TalossaFest or any other efforts to increase the Talossanity of our historic homeland. But we would be delighted to see information forthcoming showing evidence to the contrary.

Like the other ministries we've reviewed, There are areas where nothing appears to be happening, but one area where there is a concrete success. So not a terrible record so far but there is room for improvement.
