Why I am Interested in Becoming a Talossan:The reasons I would like to become a Talossan citizen are deeply connected to my personal interests and ambitions. First, I have a strong fascination with Talossan culture, especially the unique Talossan language and the rich tradition of heraldry. These aspects truly set Talossa apart as a micronation with a living culture that continues to grow and inspire.

Second, I wish to be involved in Talossan politics as much as possible. By participating in debates, elections, and discussions, I hope to gain valuable lessons about leadership, governance, and the responsibilities of citizenship. I believe these experiences will help me grow both as a person and as someone who wishes to contribute meaningfully to any community I join.

Third, I consider myself an active and dedicated individual. I can guarantee that i will participate in many events, support my fellow Talossan citizens, and contribute to building not only Talossa but also the wider micronational community into a better, more engaging place. I see citizenship as more than just a title, it is a commitment to take part, help out, and live up to the values of the nation.

Lastly, I am a passionate enthusiast of micronationalism. There is no doubt that I wish to become a citizen of one of the world's oldest and most respected micronations. Talossa has inspired many people across the globe, including myself, and it would be an honor to join its community and contribute to its continued story.

My Special Interest in Talossa:Politics, Civil service, El glheþ talossan / the Talossan language, Heraldry, Sports
Other, if any: Cultural events, History

More About Myself:My name is Keo Virak, and I am from Cambodia. I am currently a student, but beyond my studies I am deeply interested in history, geography, politics, and culture. What is most important to me in life is building meaningful communities, learning from others, contributing to projects that allow people to share ideas, traditions, and creativity across borders and the most important of all time to me is my family.

One of my main ambitions is to continue developing my leadership skills and understanding of governance, both in the real world and through micronationalism. I see these opportunities not only as hobbies but as a way to prepare myself for future responsibilities where teamwork, vision, and cultural awareness are essential. I have already had the experience of founding my own micronation, which has taught me a great deal about organization, diplomacy, and creativity, and I am eager to keep learning through Talossa's established community.

Outside of this, I enjoy reading, writing, learning new languages, and gaming. These hobbies give me both knowledge and a way to connect with people worldwide. I also like to engage in online communities, where I can discuss ideas, share experiences, and collaborate with others. I believe that being active, open minded, and supportive is important in any community, whether it is a school group, an international forum, or a nation like Talossa.

Overall, I would describe myself as someone who is curious, enthusiastic, and committed to personal growth. I value creativity, culture, and community above all, and I see Talossa as a place where all three of these values thrive.

Where did you hear about the Kingdom of Talossa?Random internet surfing

Have you been introduced to the Kingdom of Talossa by an existing citizen?YES - His Majesty King Txec I

Do you have any previous experience with, or membership in, any "micronations"?YES - I first discovered micronationalism around 2020–21, and it immediately captured my imagination. As someone who has always been deeply interested in history, politics, and culture, the idea that people could come together to create their own nations, with their own systems of government, traditions, and communities, was fascinating to me. I spent several years studying and observing the micronational world before I finally decided to take the step of founding my own project, the Empire of Norea, on 29 March 2025.

Although Norea is still very young, working on this project has been one of the most meaningful experiences in my life so far. It has allowed me to explore questions of governance and leadership in a creative way while also challenging me to think carefully about how to build a community that people can believe in and feel proud of. I have drafted a constitutoin, created a parliament called the Rodsfia, designed a peerage system, and worked on national documents such as flag, coat of arms, passports, ID cards, currency, and document Norea history as well. These tasks may seem symbolic, but for me they represent real opportunities to learn about statecraft and responsibility.

Diplomacy has also been an important part of my micronational journey. Norea has formed ties with several other micronations, including the Empire of Unito (before it dissolved), the State of Samizdat, the Kingdom of Salanda, the Commonwealth of Bradwell and the Eldonian Empire. Today, Norea is a member of the World Forum of Micronations, the United Sphere, and the Micronational Assembly. Through these organizations, I have participated in discussions and collaborations that have shown me the importance of dialogue, respect, and cooperation between different communities. I have learned that micronationalism, while often seen as a hobby, is also a serious space for learning leadership, practicing diplomacy, and connecting with people from around the world who share a common passion.

Is it okay if Talossan citizens contact you by e-mail?YES

Is it okay if Talossan citizens contact you by telephone?NO

Azul Carter and welcome to Talossa!

It was such a pleasure meeting you as part of the MicroLead project you are working on and I particularly enjoyed sharing my experiences this past weekend. If you had to choose one thing about Talossa that most fascinated you, what would it be?

I look forward to interacting more with you as you progress toward citizenship!

Welcome Carter, as a founder of a micronation I wonder if there is the possibility of relations between Norea and Talossa. It looks like Norea has had more success with diplomacy as well. Also, where did you get the name Norea from?

Azul Your Majesty! i am also really happy to work with the King of one of the oldest micronation, it was really enjoying, fun and i get to learn a lot of things during MicroLeads.

The question Your Majesty ask is a tough question because i have so many things in my mind that fascinated me the most about Talossa but because i only can choose one, i will say the Talossan language, i'm a language nerd and also it's extremely rare for a micronation to have its own language, it'll be really great if i get to learn  the Talossan.

i will be really happy to!

you wrote "One of my main ambitions is to continue developing my leadership skills and understanding of governance, both in the real world and through micronationalism."

It would be great to see what you've been establishing for Norea - is there a web presence through a site or blog or discussion board?
