The Prime Ministry wishes to announce the creation of the Permanent Secretary of Humanitarian Aid with the Foreign Ministry.

The job description of this Permanent Secretary is as follows: To advise the elected Government on best practices and current information in the administration of charitable funds.

This is a non-political appointment which shall be held until lawful dismissal, resignation, or incapacitation.  Appointment to this position will be based on applicants' qualifications and willingness to work, and taking into consideration the applicant's performance in prior positions.

This and other postings will continue to be available on this page (https://wiki.talossa.com/The_Senesch%C3%A1l%27s_List), and any significant changes will be accompanied by a public announcement.

@Baron Alexandreu Davinescu
Seneschal, I did not want to pollute the policy announcements thread but would like to be considered for the Permanent Secretary of Humanitarian Aid.

@xpb Minister Briga, I wanted to check in here to confirm you'd received my note of interest? I've not heard back unfortunately.

BTW, @Iason Taiwos Senator Sir Taiwos, once someone is approved I would really like for BHAID and the new Talossan Naval Relief Corps to cooperate.

Cancer research or humanitarian relief in Sudan might be a good focus for a drive.

I think we'll probably wait to see if a range of candidates apply. We'll get back to you.

@Iason Taiwos Whoever gets appointed, the humanitarian situation in Venezuela also might be a timely focus of a BHAID-Naval Relief Corps cooperation scheme.

Minister, I wanted to check with you on consideration for the PermSec role? Delighted to see we have multiple candidates and hoping we can see someone appointed and active soon.

Noting the recent policy announcement I am looking forward to the announcement of the new BHAID PermSec and to working with the Foreign Ministry on investigating the potential for relations with other micronations. @xpb  I hope you'll be able to make an announcement once the internal party discussions conclude.

This PermSec position was announced a month ago. The last update was that the applications were sent to Cabinet for discussions. I don't think I am under consideration so this is more about a general concern on the appointment and the BHAID.

Sorry to be the squeaky wheel here but @xpb when do you plan on announcing the appointment? I was hoping to withdraw the BHAID funding bill and allow the new appointee to do their own work but it seems this appointment process is taking longer than initially expected.

We're working on finalizing a formal internal process for appointments, as well as this one individual appointment.  Please stand by for an announcement when we're ready.

Thank you Seneschal, that is all I needed to know.
