Title: Cort Case Filing Enquiry
Post by: Breneir Tzaracomprada on January 28, 2026, 08:46:09 PM
@Baron Alexandreu Davinescu

I would like to file a petition for injuctive relief but am unsure who would receive the petition. As I read the Cort Rules, we are not to directly post our petition in the Courthouse threads. Do we have a Clerk of Corts? If not, then could you advise on the correct procedures to file the petition?

The Baron Seneschal is the Clerk.

The first rule of the cort:

Quote from: Baron Alexandreu Davinescu on March 18, 2022, 05:23:08 PMPROCESS FOR FILING LEGAL BUSINESS

1. Petitions for any business shall be filed by posting a single message containing your petition or by using private messages to send your petition to the Clerk of Corts.

I remain the Clerk, I guess -- although depending on the nature of the petition, I might ask His Majesty to do the assignment.  I'd still love to be replaced (https://wittenberg.talossa.com/index.php?topic=4848.0) as Clerk, but it's probably not an emergency.

It might be a good idea to get representation.

Excellent, thanks.
