Title: [GOVT] Claim your Days of Observance here!

Days of Observance

This programme began four years ago (https://wittenberg.talossa.com/index.php?topic=1485.0) under Seneschal Sir Ian Plätschisch, and the rules are simple:

Every time you qualify for an award, I will issue a Prüm Diktat declaring an official Day of Observance of your choice for the entire Kingdom of Talossa.  I will also post a picture of myself celebrating your Day of Observance.

I will do my best to honour your wishes.  In the past, we've had Days of Observance for "Coffee Day," "Day of the Automobile," "Potato Day," and a day dedicated to a very gross sandwich that Sir Ian gamely tried to create and consume.

To qualify for an award, you need to make a total of either

According to TalossaWiki I've made 500 contributions if I'm not mistaken and I have yet to make some edits on the Wikipedia article. Claiming a day of observance of my choice sounds cool.

I think 500 past edits certainly entitles you to a Day of Observance, my goodness!

You're going to end up with a whole lot of Days of Observance at this rate!  If you look on this thread (https://wittenberg.talossa.com/index.php?topic=4966.0), I've noted some things we can do to improve it.  Well done and thank you!

Just let me know what you want, whenever you please, and I'll do my best to celebrate your holidays!

Proud to say that I'm done with editing the Wikipedia article. Though I'd also like to add the images of the flag and coat of arms and I'm seeking permission to do so.

They'll say no, since that's an official policy for micronations, but it doesn't hurt to ask.  The stuff you added looks good -- still a bit to do there, but you did a great job!

A few changes that should be made:

Despite this sentence on the Wikipedia article, there are currently no successors or heirs to the throne. Hereditary succession was abolished some time ago.

QuoteThe successors to the throne are the children of the Present King (Prince Patrick, Prince Peter, Princess Daniele)

Also, it's incorrect to refer to me as Txec I, as there is no other Txec who reigned after me. If another Txec were to come to the throne, then I would be Txec I.

Other than that, it is looking good!

-Txec R

What I meant with permission is the permission to use the files for the flag and coat of arms but since that's a really stupid policy then I won't add the flag and coat of arms.

At least one of the recent changes has been reverted, since there's no source.  However, you can cite the current Organic Law as a source to add them back in.

Ohh, my bad. Where exactly would that be in the OrgLaw?

Changes made accordingly yet again (and improved the part about successors).

Of course a bot reverted the changes to which I cited the OrgLaw... Tried reporting a false positive.

Now that I think of it, I might either make some changes to the Polish version of the Wikipedia article and maybe even create a German one.

The Polish article (https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talossa) is much better, it has the coat of arms and the flag included.

Very nice!  What do you think the traffic on those pages might be?  They're not one of our national languages, so I'm not as inclined to reward them at the same rate as the English Wikipedia... maybe every ten edits on one of those gets a Day of Observance?

By the way, have you decided what you want for your first one?

I also just noticed that some changed were reverted which I'm incredibly angered by.

Whatever, I reverted the changes made by the idiot called Angryapathy and I will keep doing it.

As a reminder, this opportunity is available to anyone who wishes to edit TalossaWiki or our Wikipedia article.  Make 20 edits on TalossaWiki or 5 edits on our Wikipeda article, and I will issue a Prüm Diktat declaring an official Day of Observance of your choice for the entire Kingdom of Talossa.  I will also post a picture of myself celebrating your Day of Observance as best I can, no matter how difficult or silly.  In the past, we've had Days of Observance for "Coffee Day," "Day of the Automobile," "Potato Day," and a day dedicated to a very gross sandwich that Sir Ian gamely tried to create and consume.

Now that you've mentioned some days, I've gotten some ideas, will have to look for the dates.

Alright, so here goes.

"Number Plate Day" on 14 January
and
"Road Sign Day" on 16 May

So I'll be happy to declare a day of observance on those days, but they're very far away.  It's going to be a long time waiting for them, and there's no guarantee that I will still be Seneschal.  I can pledge on behalf of the office to celebrate them, but may I suggest just requesting the days and telling me how I might celebrate them for you?  Then I'll announce a Day of Observance for everyone to celebrate on a date that's a lot closer, probably within a few weeks.  Waiting for so many months seems like a hard thing to do!

Alright, let's make Road Sign Day 8 January (which is when the TMRSS "became" a thing) and Number Plate Day 14 February (date of the TalossaWiki page for my number plate concept being last edited).

Well, okay.  That's a long time from now, but I'm game.

I'll put those on my calendar, and on those days I (or my successor, hopefully) will declare a special Day of Observance: 8 Jan 2027 will be a Road Sign Day of Observance, and 12 Feb 2027 will be a Number Plate Day of Observance.  When we get to those days, what would you like me (or my successor) to do to celebrate?
