Category AM: Mopeds and light quadricycles with a maximum speed of 45 kilometres per hour
Category A1: Motorcycles with a maximum capacity of 125 cubic centimetres, maximum power of 11 kilowatts and a maximum power-weight ratio of 0,1 kilowatts per kilogramme
Category A2: Motorcycles with a maximum power of 35 kilowatts and a maximum power-weight ratio of 0,2 kilowatts per kilogramme
Category B1: Light car-like vehicles up to 400 kilogrammes (550 kilogrammes if transporting goods)
Category B: Any vehicle up to 3,5 tonnes
Category BE: Any vehicle up to 3,5 tonnes with a trailer above 750 kilogrammes (category B allows you to tow trailers up to 750 kilogrammes)
Category C1: Heavy vehicles up to 7,5 tonnes
Category C: Any vehicle above 3,5 tonnes
Category C1E: Heavy vehicles up to 7,5 tonnes with a trailer
Category CE: Any vehicle above 3,5 tonnes with a trailer
Category D1: Buses up to 17 seats and eight metres in length
