Title: Chadaray Note: Yom Kippur
Post by: Breneir Tzaracomprada on September 20, 2026, 02:44:14 PM
I started a Jewish Talossan group called Chadaray a long time ago. I didn't want to revive an old thread though so am quoting from an important part of the thread in recognition of Yom Kippur.

Quote from: Breneir Tzaracomprada on April 10, 2022, 10:22:26 AMThis was spoken by a fictional Black Jewish character but it affected me as soon as I heard it.
Besides being lovely it speaks to the state of the world inside and outside of Talossa.
I hope you will be moved by it too.

Lord God,
we humbly ask that you deliver us safely home.
Carry us now through this crucible of fire,
so we may show the world
that there is a better world.
A world beyond division,
and confusion,
and fear.
Let us discover a world beyond fear.
Amen.

A world beyond division, confusion, and fear. Amen. I really love that prayer set in a fictional world but worthy of work towards making it real.

On this Yom Kippur I publicly, without reservation or qualification, atone for my own actions and words which have caused pain or discord. And seek to set a better path through better actions and words. I ask for grace and forgiveness from those who feel bitterness at encountering me and pledge to give the same.
