Alright everyone! The trivia "meeting" is scheduled for tonight at 7:30 pm Talossan Daylight Time (8:30 Eastern, 5:30 Pacific). Keeping in mind that most Talossans are in the Western Hemisphere, I wanted to try and schedule it so that we can have the widest possible pool of attendees -- I understand some of you will likely be asleep around this time (sorry, Kiwi Talossans), but hopefully in the future we'll be able to find a good time on a weekend that can get an even wider bunch.

I'm guessing its not so much sleeping time as working time in New Zealand. It's Europe/Africa/West Asia that will be asleep. Including myself Im afraid.

I wasn't able to attend with just a day's notice, but how did it go?  Who won?

Unfortunately only Mic'haglh and I were able to attend. We'll have to try again another time.

It would probably help to give more notice ahead of time, since folks with families and jobs might need to put it in their calendars. I would also suggest using doodle poll. I don't know if you ever use the site, but it's really helpful for scheduling something with multiple people.

This was something I had given thought to, but I've noticed that when using polls to schedule things, we run into the issue where either (a) not enough people fill out the poll, or (b) there are no times that really stand out as viable. Considering that I only have Monday and Tuesday nights free to host at the moment, it seemed like an opportunity to try the alternative approach: "this is when it is". Going forward, it would seem the former approach is the better less bad option, but now we at least have experience to support that.
