I have been receiving an email asking me to fill out a census, but the dates say the census should be answered between january and february of 2019...I answered it once a few days ago and today i received another email. First time i used the link provided and this time i tried going directly to the website provided and it directed me to the U.S. census LOL Is this thing legitimate and if so is there anyway i can find out if the first one i sent was received?

I don't have any reason to think this one is legitimate rather than a bug, so you can ignore it.
My sense is the consensus is the census emails of late are indeed a bug and not a feature.

It is a bug. I alerted MPF the database administrator of the problem and received no response. I'll tell him again. You can safely ignore it for now.
