In an unusual and interesting turn of events the Chancery has published that the result of the 2021 Florencian Senate Election is a tie between Breneir Itravilatx and Graçù Ventrutx.

The Organic Law ( Article V, Section 8 ) states the following concerning Senatorial election ties:

QuoteAny Senatorial election conducted by the Chancery shall be conducted according to the provisions given in Sections 2-5, above, and utilize Instant Runoff Voting. In case of a tie between two or more candidates, the executive officer of the province as of the Election Deadline shall break the tie.

I, Breneir Itravilatx, as the provincial executive officer, do hereby break the tie by voting for Breneir Itravilatx. I congratulate Florencia's new Senator, Breneir Itravilatx and give heartfelt thanks to the outgoing Senator, Acafat dal Val.

At the time of this thread's creation turnout in the ongoing national election is approximately 23% or 35 voters. I am disappointed and concerned to report that only one of those 35 voters has been from our fair province. Which means that Florencia currently has the lowest turnout in the nation by a rather large margin.

Let us not allow this to continue. Florencia has been a place where Talossan history is made and honored. In this spirit, research the parties and issues and commit your voice to the chorus of Talossan democracy. Do not let the civic sound of Florencia be no more than silence.

And I would be remiss if I did not, as the leader of the Talossan National Congress, request your support and your vote.

We are Talossan political parties and intervals who represent the whole range of opinion on the Constitutional issue, from monarchist to republican and everywhere in between.

We believe that the time has come for a historic compromise which settles the question for a Talossan generation or more. Talossa has other, better things to debate.

We believe that the "Talossa Shall Choose Its King Amendment" (proposed to the last Cosă as RZ21) meets the qualifications to be precisely that compromise.

We are disappointed that His Majesty King John vetoed this proposal, and we pledge that - if it is re-presented to the next Coså - we will vote for it.

Despite our disagreements on other issues, we hope, between us, to win sufficient support in the current election to thus at least present this Historic Compromise to the people in referendum, over the Royal veto.

WHEREAS it has been more than a fortnight since Muhammed Yasir first posted on Wittenberg, following his introduction to the citizens of the Kingdom by officers of the Interior Ministry, and

WHEREAS the said Muhammed Yasir has in that time demonstrated an active and genuine interest in Talossan life, culture, and language, and

WHEREAS the said Muhammed Yasir desires citizenship in the Kingdom of Talossa, and

WHEREAS by all indications it appears that Muhammed Yasir would be a loyal and dedicated citizen, and a credit to this nation if he obtains the grant of citizenship he requests,


THEREFORE I, Breneir Itravilatx, a citizen in good standing of the Glorious Province of Florencia and of the Kingdom of Talossa, do by these presents petition the Secretary of State to issue a grant of citizenship to Muhammed Yasir, as specified by law.

As of 15 December, the Chancery has indicated the certification of the provincial election results.

Pursuant to Section 4(a) of the Florencian Constitution: "No later than ten days following the conclusion of each provincial election, the Governor of Florencia shall have determined and announced the total number of seats for the incoming Nimlet, which number shall be equal to the number of ballots returned in the election, less those returned indicating "Present", and augmented by one additional seat for each incumbent Senator for Florencia, and one additional seat for the Governor;" The total number of non-Present provincial ballots returned was 3.

Pursuant to Section 4(b) There is also one seat for the incumbent Senator and the incumbent Governor.
I hereby appoint myself to the incumbent Governor seat and Açafat del Val to the incumbent Senator seat. 

The total number of seats in the Nimlet is therefore set at 5.

This leaves 3 seats unassigned by the party leaders.
Based on votes received:

Make Talossa Great Again (MTGA) is entitled to 1 seat.
Awakening and Magnifying Passion (AMP) is entitled to 1 seat.
Free Democrats (FreeDems) are entitled to 1 seat.

Party leaders (Miestra Schiva, Ian Plätschisch, and Mximo Carbonel) please advise on your specific appointee.

The next session of the Nimlet will commence on 22 December 2019 allowing one week for the naming of seat appointments by party leaders.
