Then I suggest to specify the sections - § D.8.2, D.8.3, D.8.4 -  rather than using "confidential".

That word is used only once in the Lexh (§ H.2.5) in the meaning of the Government actively deciding that some informations must be considered confidential and withheld at Terps («and/or any project(s), correspondence, or activities, in which the Government has deemed, and classified as confidential, or which in its release may damage the Kingdom in any shape or form.»), but I get from your reply that this is not what you are looking for.

That is reasonable. I will specify the provisions rather than using the term confidential. Thanks Üc.

Quote from: Üc R. Tärfâ on March 08, 2023, 06:06:48 PMI can't precisely recollect where the discussion went before the first data loss, but in the coming days I'll update the proposal.

Are you planning on submitting this for the second Clark?

Quote8.9 Automated Governmental Information Dissemination

I personally don't like the word dissemination. The records according with this law are archived and disclosed, they are not disseminated.

Quote8.9.1 The Government of the Kingdom of Talossa will have a duty of transparency to the people of the nation, so that citizens may hold their elected officials accountable.

This section shall be removed altogether. The first part is a repetition of the head section (§ D.8 ) and doesn't need to be reiterated.
(Moreover: the Gov has, not will have; this bill does nothing to hold the elected accountable as the records are released 10 years later.)

Quote8.9.2 All internal (non-public and non-confidential) government communications placed or transmitted on Government-owned fora shall be released to the Royal Archives no later than 10 (ten) years after the conclusion of that Government's term of office.

Internal and non-public is a repetition.

Non-confidential is problematic: defined by who? How? With which limits? And after 10 years who can choose If they still are confidential? If that part is not addressed the whole bill is potentially meaningless.

Quote8.9.3 This dissemination scheme shall begin with the internal (non-public and non-confidential) government records of the Tzaracomprada Administration (58th Cosa Government).

We don't use Administration but Cabinet. And it's better in the law to don't not make reference to names or the name of the Seneschal. Use 58th Cosa only.

I thank you for your comments, Üc.

Dissemination has been changed to transmittal.

The point is not accountability but transparency and historical record-keeping. Elections and active and mature opposition hold governments to account.

Confidential as defined by compliance with the privacy law.

Ok sure, let's use cabinet in place of administration. :)

Quote from: Üc R. Tärfâ on March 08, 2023, 05:56:10 PMMay I further suggest to move it under the responsability of the Ministry of STUFF? § D.2.10.4 (with some rewording).

§ D.1 doesn't seem to me the right or logic part of the Lexhatx to have such a section.

I saw that you submitted the bill to Committee as it is.

I need to say that: el Lexhatx has or should have a logic, you can't just pick an empty place and put there anything you want. § D.1 is about the relation between the Seneschal and the Cabinet, appointments and positions.

It is not the place for a subsection for citizens requesting certificate of citizenship.

I submitted with the edits I thought prudent, Üc. I accepted some suggestions and not others based on the reasons put forward.

Quote from: Üc R. Tärfâ on March 15, 2023, 08:50:24 PMRemove "We", that's a section of law not a declaration of the undersignatories.

Edit made. Thanks Üc.

Quote from: Breneir Tzaracomprada on March 15, 2023, 08:19:15 PMWhereas, there is a continuing interest in encouraging the development of provincial subcultures, and

Whereas, cultural development is one potential route to which we can revitalize provincial activity, and

Whereas, there is one shining example of the successful development of a provincial subculture in the Cjovani Benitians, and

Whereas, one way to encourage the replication of this laudable Talossan subculture effort is to memorialize and celebrate one of its first instances.

Therefore, be it resolved, that a new ziua auservada or Day of Observance is created by adding a new section to El Lexhatx Section F at 4.3.8 to read as follows:

Quote7 April. Provincial Subcultures Day. This holiday honors a trailblazing example of Talossan subcultural development, the Cjovani Benitians, and serves as a day for Talossans to consider the potential for future subcultures in their own provinces.

Subsequent sections are to renumbered as necessary.

"El Lexhatx Section F at 4.3.8" could maybe be better written as "subsection 4.3.8 of Title F of el Lexhatx."

Thank you Baron! Change made.

Whereas, every Talossan goes through meaningful milestones over the course of their lives, and

Whereas, it is a reasonable prerogative of the Kingdom to participate in celebrating the most meaningful of these milestones, and

Whereas, the longevity of each citizen's membership in the Kingdom is one of the most meaningful of milestones for each Talossan.

Therefore, be it enacted, that a new section of Title D of El Lexhatx (2.1.2) shall be added as follows:

D 2.1.2: Each citizen meeting specific time thresholds as a Talossan citizen, may request a certificate, signed by the Crown and the Seneschal. The citizenship milestones are 5 years, 10 years, 20 years, and 50 years.

Quote from: Üc R. Tärfâ on March 15, 2023, 10:53:35 AMEstimat Grefieir,

As there are some tweaks that needed to be done to templates I created years ago, and in many laws pages on the wiki there's some formatting to be done to both the templates and the text, that I have a keen eyes for these stuffs, plus some ideas on how to better display and organise everything, and given that your jobs multiplied in the last months, I put forward my candidacy to serve as Deputy.

I am grateful and happy to say yes to your offer of assistance, thank you! @Danihel Txechescu are you able to update his Wiki permissions in light of his appointment as a Deputy Scribe of Abbavilla?

Quote from: Üc R. Tärfâ on March 15, 2023, 10:47:39 AMThere's no rationale for putting that in Title D.

Fair. Do you have a suggestion for a better place?

The Land Acknowledgment Act

Whereas, settler colonialism is defined by the Oxford English Dictionary as "a type of colonialism in which the indigenous peoples of a colonized region are displaced by settlers who permanently form a society there," and

Whereas, the Kingdom of Talossa is on land itself and is an enclave of the United States, a country fitting this definition, and

Whereas, the Kingdom in the diversity of its citizen's global reach has connections with many countries meeting this description (Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa as examples), and

Whereas, land acknowledgments have grown in use as a tool to start conversations around historical witnessing and reconciliation in settler colonialist countries.

Therefore, be it enacted, that the following customized version of the land acknowledgment created by the Electa Quinney Institute of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is added to El Lexhatx Section F as a new subsection:

Quote41. LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT. The Kingdom of Talossa acknowledges it is located on traditional Potawatomi, Ho-Chunk and Menominee homeland along the southwest shores of Michigami, North America's largest system of freshwater lakes, where the Milwaukee, Menominee and Kinnickinnic rivers meet and the people of Wisconsin's sovereign Anishinaabe, Ho-Chunk, Menominee, Oneida and Mohican nations remain present.

OK, it looks like we might have a nice group for a watch party.
I am thinking sometime next month. Any particular days that are absolutely out for anyone?
