This Prime Dictate is withdrawn. Having never been countersigned, it is void.

I'm not sure what your point is. The Living Cosa will "coincide" with the November Clark. I am also perfectly within my authority to declare a month of recess in December. The Writ can be issued at any time after the Living Cosa.

From the map it appears that "insular Central America" means the Caribbean Islands

I just remembered that @Lüc made some maps of the catchments areas back in 2016 when he was working on the Catchment Area Reform Act. Maybe these would help:

When I looked closer, I found that there are a lot of countries not mentioned by name. Many of them are captured by broader regions, some of which ("any European nation not listed elsewhere") are more helpful than others (insular central America for one, and "all nations in Africa south of the Equator not listed elsewhere")

Having reviewed the (somewhat confusing) legislation concerning Living Cosas, this is how I think this will work:

-MZs may vote on the November clark in the usual ways from November 1-21.
-Anyone who attends the Living Cosa session who has not already voted will be allowed to cast their vote at that time. The final tally will be taken after the session.

If anyone would be so aggrieved by this that they would be likely to file suit against the Chancery, I would appreciate it if you let us know now.

Wittenberg / 57PD08: November Living Cosa in December
November 02, 2022, 06:43:06 PM
WHEREAS A Living Cosa has been declared for November, and

WHEREAS Lex.H.20 requires me to provide at least two weeks notice of the exact date of the Living Cosa, and even if I had been able to coordinate everything within a few days of October 21st, the entire first week of November still would have been precluded, and

WHEREAS There are various scheduling difficulties in getting enough people together in November, and

WHEREAS LEx.H.20 authorizes me to issue a Prime Dictate to push the session to the next month if appropriate

THEREFORE the Living Cosa session for the November 2022 Clark shall be held during December 2022, with the exact date to be determined in consultation with the relevant parties.

Signed,

Quote from: Dr. Txec dal Nordselvă, GST on November 02, 2022, 02:49:36 PMWe should remove the reference to "insular Central America" as I have no idea what that means. We also should verify that every nation is represented so there is no more fogginess about where to place new citizens. That sounds like a monumental task and I am *not* volunteering!
If I get clever with string manipulation in Excel I could probably come up with a list of missing countries pretty easily

Azul everyone,

I am currently working with the relevant parties to get the Living Cosa for November scheduled.

I am also intending to declare a month of recess in December. I imagine no one wants to have to deal with an election over the holidays. This will make the election period January 15 - February 1, 2023.

Is there any update on this? I would imagine it will not be proposed this Cosa, but I am interested to hear any developments.

FROM THE OFFICE OF THE SENESCHAL

@Dr. Txec dal Nordselvă, GST has served with great distinction as Scribe of Abbaville. He now seeks to be relieved of this duty, and thankfully @Breneir Tzaracomprada has volunteered.

I recommend that @King John appoint S:reu Tzaracomprada as Scribe of Abbaville.

Quote from: Iason Taiwos on September 30, 2022, 06:25:22 PMWe can get certificates? Well, I want mine. Celebrated ten years a Talossan last year. I recently got ten years in my current job, and they not only gave me a certificate of thanks for my service, but they gave me a tiny catalog of gifts I can pick from. I'm debating wether to get the tv or the telescope. (If we had money, enduring some of the nonsense and drama of Talossa for ten years should qualify you for a new car.)
It's in the mail.
