Messages - Sir Ian Plätschisch

QuoteThe reporting is only necessary IF the Ministry finds the need for changes. The requirement is to REVIEW the catchment area for potential changes. Please read.
You are splitting hairs. Clearly the time spent doing the review (if it is done in good faith) would far outweigh the time physically typing out the report.

If people are assigned there then why would I be opposed to that, Ian?
For one thing, that would require an OrgLaw amendment. Is that forthcoming?

No, not from me.
Seems like you just answered your own question then.

Quote from: Breneir Tzaracomprada on March 11, 2023, 08:28:46 PMI just did the work of pulling it all together. Anyone who sees the benefit of a map is welcome to create it.
Well, you're the one who wants to make this change, but OK.

QuoteYou are suggesting that a future MinImm will ignore a statutory requirement. And that no Opposition will be active enough to call them on it.
Yes, that's exactly what I'm suggesting. It's a silly report and no one should spend time putting it together or complaining that it hasn't been (unless there is a real need for it).

Also, could we get a map of these changes?

Also also, unless you are personally still MinImm five years from now, I can pretty much guarantee the new reporting requirement will be ignored. Surely a better solution if we are really concerned about this is just to keep an eye on provincial populations and make changes if/when needed?

Estimat Túischac'h,

May the Minister of STUFF please provide an update on any sort of incentive program for updating TalossaWiki that the Government intends to introduce? It appears the current, wildly popular incentive program ("Seneschal's Days of Observance") is being discontinued.

Estimat Túischac'h,

May the Seneschal please provide an update on the status of the "Succession Solution Amendment"?

OK, this is actually pretty neat. A few comments though:
-I am pretty sure that "Most Online" is completely meaningless. If there is a useful interpretation of it, that is not "how many bots have ever wandered here at the same time," please let me know
-Is "Users" the number of new users that month?

Quote from: Viteu on February 13, 2023, 03:21:05 PMThis entire manufactured outrage of someone equating being an a*sh*le with masculinity sounds pretty #NotAllMen to me.
My advice was to not be "outraged" about this, but if someone was, I don't think they'd be manufacturing anything. There are an abundance of examples of it happening, but again, they are of no importance.

I'll just leave this here.
I'm not exactly sure what your meaning is here, but if it is to say that I am engaging in such behavior, I am actually doing the exact opposite rejecting the entire premise
#284
Hmm, there must be another meaning to that idiom that I didn't realize.

I was not saying you missed the point, I was saying that you should not let claims like that upset you in any way. The people that make them are so obviously wrong that they don't deserve any of your brain space.

Sorry for the confusion.

Quote from: Bråneu Excelsio on February 13, 2023, 12:10:49 PMBut one of the things that always gets to me is when trans men students tell me they don't want to adopt masculine attitudes because they don't want to be assholes
As a man, I find this kind of offensive. As though the essence of masculinity resides in being an asshole. I have more thoughts, but I don't wish to derail the thread.
