In 2030, I would like to give two predictions: One before the start of the World Cup and another as soon as the group phase is wrapped up.

During the first matches, it became clear to me that France was going to be World Champion. I'm with Lüc on this one, except I believe the final game will be France vs Norway.

Quote from: Glüc on June 30, 2026, 05:14:31 AMI will never understand why the Dutch team didn't play like they were 1 goal behind in extended time.

Morocco had *a lot* of local support. Or, put it differently, Netherlands was booed heavily by Mexican fans (this match was played in my city, btw). Twelve years on, we still remember: NO ERA PENAL.

Quote from: Baron Alexandreu Davinescu on June 21, 2026, 08:58:31 PMI'd actually like to go back to a lot of those places[...] Maybe now that the kids are getting a little older, I'll be able to.

I went the opposite direction: Once my kids grew old enough (they started paying full fare) we didn't travel anymore all together. Even before then, just the logistics for getting us all from one side of the planet to the other were not very enticing. Last trip like that was to Hong Kong, and that was only with two kids.

I thought I could easily edit the bracket and make adjustments but that turned out not to be the case AT ALL. This was the base I planned to work on, but then couldn't really make any changes:

(Note it's dated before the start of the World Cup.)

I take no credit for that, as it's basically what the Opta Analyst guys said.

You guys seem to be underestimating the "local" factor for Canada and USA.

Quote from: Danihel Txechescu on June 02, 2026, 02:58:10 PMI believe you have to go to https://auth.talossa.com/ and enter those credentials there. In there, you can go to Settings -> Change your password.

I've gone to settings and preferences and clicked on every option and no where is there an option to change a password.

There's no Preferences there. The link is: https://auth.talossa.com/

Once logged in, in the cog, top and right, there's a button at the bottom that says: "Change password" in the "User details" section.

My friend's kiddo apparently has the Guinness World Record for the most pi digits recalled in 1 minute: https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/news/2025/3/3-14-and-counting-10-year-old-breaks-record-for-most-decimal-pi-digits-recalled

If we're adding implinds in this thread, add mine: Pol Txechescu. Can confirm the other two.

To Do List
  • Remove audio noise.
Which noise? I mix very often and did not find anything that would bother me.

ETA: There's something at the very beginning that kind of sounds like compensation for a vocal compressor, like auto leveling loudness.

Quote from: Baron Alexandreu Davinescu on February 12, 2026, 01:11:29 PMI don't think you need any kind of license to do broadcast "radio" over the Internet.

It sounds to me like you do. The name RIAA comes to mind whenever touching on these subjects. In any case I think there are providers for radio stations that pay these fees for you and also give you a streaming platform, so that you only focus on the music and programs.

Spanish (native), English (work), Italian (certified B2).

I formally studied (5 years spread in) French, Arabic, and Korean, and spent at least a semester doing Hebrew, German, and Esperanto each. That must have been a lifetime ago, as I can now barely read Arabic and Korean. Funnily enough, I think I can read modern Greek even if I don't know any.

Linux From Scratch builder here. These days most of my machines/servers are Debian/Ubuntu. Sadly, the few remaining Gentoo servers I had had been decommissioned, but those were a joy.
