Why I am Interested in Becoming a Talossan:
The idea of a micronation is fascinating and the history and origin of Talossa especially so. What may start out as a small project can take on a life of it's own and that is a social experiment that is unmatched. Drawing in people from all over the world who find common interests and enjoyment, which is so much easier in the internet age, is proof that borders don't really constrain us unless we let them.

I'm a former baseball/softball player, coach, umpire; coaching  primarily in women and youth softball. I'm the former president of the Irish-American Club of Mid-Michigan, seven years. My hobbies include smoking good cigars and drinking good bourbon as well as delicious pinot noir wines.  I'm a retired civil-servant pensioner having spent 30+ years working for the State of Michigan as a 'worker bee,' not 'white collar.' Why I am Interested in Becoming a Talossan:
I've always been interested in ethnicity and ethnic origins. My Irish forebears came to North America fleeing the 'potato famine.' The Dutch sides of my family came to North America following WWI believing, correctly, that the worst was yet to come.

Becoming a Talossan seems to be a wonderful way to investigate, and experience, other people's ethnicities and experiences.

Why I am Interested in Becoming a Talossan:
The history of the founder of the Kingdom of Talossa is an incredible but fun story. I guess everyone once in a while wants to separate themselves in order to achieve a dream some silly and others great. Timon in Lion king is one figurative character that had such dream and achieved it by founding a kingdom of peace and tranquility. He went in an adventure to help his lion friend get his kingdom back. I have had such vision as a royal seed that may never be on the throne of my ancestors due to the long line of apparent regents. Jesus the Christ was on such adventure to take back the kingdom of the earth and be the rightful ruler and today he has many followers looking forward to the emergence of his kingdom; I am one of them.
The story of the founder of Talossa as follows: The micronation was founded in 1979 when a 14-year-old boy named Robert Ben Madison who was confined to his room decided to secede from the United States and create a constitutional monarchy. Although it wasn't taken seriously at first, by the time the internet rolled around, the Kingdom of Talossa went viral and captured the imagination of many others, is so interesting. I love adventure and people of adventure and definitely want to be a part of such modern history.
