Quote from: Owen Bottu on June 23, 2026, 01:51:06 PMFor the past few days, I've been "studying" the Talossawiki and I can say I didn't except at all that Talossa was that rich in history! I didn't know that there were people who attempted a coup, and that the Seneschal even has a residence. I think Talossa is the micronation that's the most rich in history, and has an active nice community!

Thanks for reviewing the Wiki, Owen. Glad you are enjoying what you are learning about our Kingdom.

If you want to make a difference, Moinul, there are times when you need to determine the amount of acceptable risk. My personal limit is probably higher than most when it comes to human rights especially.

When I was in Colombia for another delegation the village we were observing was bombed by the ELN. There are ideals that one must be willing to put oneself on the line for.
That's a powerful perspective. Your experience in Colombia shows the kind of courage and commitment that human rights work sometimes demands. I have great respect for people willing to stand up for their principles despite the risks.

Thank you Moinul.

Recommendation for Membership

Your essay's central thesis is fascinating, not an area I could have spoken to, and sheds light on Diasporic Coping Mechanisms that I had never considered. I can, however, speak to the "absence-guilt", having felt it myself when my grandparents died. My Nana died 4 months before I attained citizenship, and her funeral was the day I left for my gap year, and I was unable to attend. It is heartening to me that this is not just something I feel but indeed is part of cultural and spiritual practice in cultures I am not even familiar with, truly eye and soul soothing to me.
Autoethnography is often a fascinating form of study, and in terms of this society's future work, it offers an accessible yet meaningful alternative to wider academic forms of phenomenology. Our pool of potential participants is relatively small, but it offers greater insight than many quantitative studies can capture.
I do, however, have some Peer Review Feedback.
Although not a failing in writing, I do feel that the ontological or philosophical alignment between the specific drumming tradition and the Bon Odori may not quite be clear. To elevate this past the risk of aesthetic extraction, the paper needs to briefly explain if/how these two traditions share a common understanding of rhythm as a spiritual portal or community anchor. Speaking as a media academic, the drum beat and its representation and use in such applications as horror is often used to represent the heartbeat and the feelings on an automatic level of the characters being portrayed, fast for high tension, slow for despair, etc. There is something primal about this, and I'm sure transcendent across many cultures; I just feel that your essay should attempt to state it outright.

To conclude, I find your paper to be an excellent fit for the society. Your qualitative research methods, somatic studies, and advocacy for a structural shift away from sedentary, silent, and internalised sorrow toward active, expressive, and cross-cultural physical performance is truly inspiring. The Talossan culture as a whole lacks some of our funary traditions, and this could be explored further in future study and an opportunity to look into how we might learn from other cultures, considering the diasporic nature of our nation.

I, therefore, as President of The Royal Society for the Advancement of Knowledge, Commend to the peers of this society and call upon its members to second my nomination for Crement Itravilatx to join our ranks as Senior Fellow, having offered a paper as their form of lecture and having attained at least a 2-year college degree. What say we?

Hi @Tierçéu Rôibeardescù

Is the voting period for Crement's membership open-ended?

Can I know the reason? @Breneir Tzaracomprada

Of course, the current material I have is not enough to make a substantial episode (about 7 to 10 minutes unfortunately.) I didn't realize this until I sat down to  compile everything.

May be as a Football fan?🤔⚽ @Breneir Tzaracomprada

Not at all, I find football to be rather boring but I have a friend from childhood who adores the game. I love his love of the game but I'd rather watch tennis or bowling.

As a lover of history, visiting the Parthenon in Athens and the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul were highlights.

After some review and deliberation the special edition covering the Bangladeshi revolution has been delayed indefinitely.

Upcoming items for the June 2026 edition this week include coverage of the Ziu reforms, immigration, and the Green Party proposal for a Me Too donation from the BHAID.

Quote from: Baron Alexandreu Davinescu on June 19, 2026, 10:35:02 AM"as well as another who has been censored by the Ziu amid accusations of sexual harassment,"

So this actually makes you sound like the victim, claiming you've been "censored amid accusations."  But you weren't "censored," you were "censured" -- the entire parliament of your country specifically identified you as someone who had acted reprehensibly.  And it wasn't "amid" accusations... that's just weasel words that you're using because you still won't accept responsibility.

Take responsibility for your own bad behavior first.

Oh that was a mispelling, my apologies. I actually did intend to mean censured as in a collective statement of rebuke and disapproval. I will make the correction now. I simply won't argue any more about my two apologies or the allegations from events occuring nearly two years ago now.

Sorry to hear that that is how it appears to you, Your Majesty. If you want me to remove explicit references to them that is fine with me. I'm also happy to include a link to the resolution denouncing me if that is considered appropriate. As I said I'm happy to amend the Sense of the Ziu if it addresses concerns but I do think the organization and the cause are worthy of BHAID support.

Those are reasonable changes to the bill.

-Txec R

Done. Removed the mention of the crimes of CCX and Iusti Canun and added a link to the censure resolution concerning myself.

Quote from: Miestră Schivă, UrN-GC on January 16, 2026, 03:03:37 PMIf this bill is rewritten to (a) make responsibility for administering Talossawiki unambiguous; (b) explicitly give admins/moderators of TalossaWiki authority to revert troll edits and ban repeat offenders, on the same line as the Consequences Act; (c) delete the noxious attempt to bring down the force of the Law on Wiki editors, it might prove useful.

Quote from: Baron Alexandreu Davinescu on January 16, 2026, 03:07:45 PMþerxh, would you be willing to wait on sending it to the CRL?  Sorry, I know you were ready to go with it, and I should have said something earlier, but there's been a lot going on.

Of course, happy to give us all a bit more time to define a good legal framework for the administration and the moderation of our Wiki, which I think deserves a special status

@Sir Lüc , sorry for the disturbance, could you please move this bill back to the Hopper ?

Is this bill moving forward in the near future? Looks to be stalled since it was moved back to the Hopper in mid-January...

Checking in on this, @þerxh Sant-Enogat . Is this bill moving forward? It has my support.

Disappointed to see this bill has apparently been abandoned. :(

Quote from: Miestră Schivă, UrN-GC on June 18, 2026, 05:43:56 PMCCX was not convicted of sexual abuse of minors btw. The victim was not a minor, the sexual contact was a crime in that he was her teacher.

Oh, thanks for clarifying. The former FreeDems prime minister abused his position of trust as a teacher by engaging in sexual relations with a high school student then.

I'll edit the bill again.
#57
Your Majesty, Talossa has had two former leaders guilty of sexual abuse of minors. That is a fact, whether we are comfortable with it or not. I also acknowledge the sexual harassment allegations against me which certainly is not comfortable either.

"Produced" is inaccurate though, I agree, so I will edit to clarify.

Any supporters are welcome to cosponsor. I will continue to make edits to address concerns too.

Whereas, the Me Too Movement International (https://metoomvmt.org/) has since 2006 provided vital support, resources, and advocacy for survivors of sexual harassment and sexual violence, giving voice to millions who have suffered harm and working to hold perpetrators accountable across institutions and industries, and

Whereas, Talossa as a community has affirmed its commitment to the dignity and safety of all persons and to the cultivation of a culture free from harassment, abuse, and intimidation, and

Whereas, Talossa has the solemn responsibility to take the problem of sexual harassment and abuse seriously with three former leaders convicted of such heinous crimes as well as another who has been censured by the Ziu amid accusations of sexual harassment, and

Whereas, material support for organizations that serve survivors is among the most concrete and meaningful expressions of true commitment to survivor-centered values, moving beyond words and resolutions to tangible action in the world, and

Whereas, the Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance and International Development (BHAID) exists precisely to channel Talossan resources toward causes that reflect our values as a community and our obligations as citizens of the world, and

Whereas, a contribution of ($50 USD) from the BHAID to the Me Too Movement would represent a modest but meaningful gesture of solidarity with survivors and a public affirmation of Talossa's commitment to a culture of accountability and care.

Therefore be it the Sense of the Ziu that the BHAID is hereby encouraged to make a donation of ($50 USD) to the Me Too Movement in support of its work on behalf of survivors of sexual harassment and sexual violence.

The Ziu further reaffirms that this donation is made in recognition of Talossa's own history and in the spirit of our community's ongoing obligation to not merely condemn allegations of harassment in our own ranks, but to support those working to address it in the wider world.

Quote from: þerxh Sant-Enogat on June 18, 2026, 12:42:25 PMMost of Distain's Talossan bandwidth has been canibalized by the Minister of Propaganda, with whom the Distain share the same physical enveloppe. Entire moral support and admiration for our Seneschal is mostly the main part of the Distain's specific activity... and also getting ready to step in his shoes should the Seneschal wish it :-)

I've been doing these terps quite frequently since maybe the 57th (?) Cosa. With respect to the role of the Distain this is the most insight I've ever received. Thanks Tgerxh. As a courtesy, I inform you I will NOT be following up.

Mr. Speaker,

This enquiry is for the Defence Minister.

The Royal Zouaves fall under your purview, unless I am mistaken, and it has been a subject of failed reform efforts recently. What current plans, if any, are there for promotions or in any other areas for the Royal Zouaves?
