Quote from: Þon Txoteu É. Davinescu, O.SPM on October 24, 2024, 10:44:43 PMI've always thought that the University of Talossa should be under the Society and I would love to head up that as Chancellor/President/Whatever

SF Davinescu, M.A.

That is my plan going forward to integrate

Just an opinion, why not re sequence the numbers and make it the number to hold the position... that would make Ben the 1st, 3rd, 4th , robert the second, Florence the 5th, king louis the sixth, john/ian the 7th, ect. (Forgive my royal history). I think king Deridricx the 29th, the future king of talossa gives the number a nice liniange that isn't required to be biological as the position no longer is tied to. Like our Neighbours leader Joe Biden The 46th makes it sound ancient and storied.

To be clear, I have edited my post to point out the part I'm agreeing with

I've been told I'm "taking this too far", but when someone completely disregards other people's feelings and social norms, and threatens government officials with "I informe you I won't stop", you know you're dealing with something else.

Any prospective citizens who may be passing by will avoid Talossa as the pest if things remain this way.
COFFEE will join any effort to stop this states of affairs.

I totally agree with your assessment, the rampant cyber tribalism is so rife however that anyone who ever is like "hey yall can we calm it down a bit" get told "your just trying to shut us up and oppress us for our views"

The Royal Society wishes to sponsor this endeavour!

Greetings to all those of academic persuasion,

As the newly appointed President of the Royal Society, I hereby announce The Royal Society Rejuvenation Project!

All those who have reached out for membership within the last 5 years, I call to submit your papers and lectures, That of 2500, and for the moment using the Harvard referencing style, however, I am looking to develop a native referencing style. There is no direct topic required, I am a sociologist and cultural theorist, a bent towards topics of use to the nation, be it economic, social or educational.

All Fellows and Sinor fellows are encouraged to post their positions below as I am looking to develop an Education and Editorial Board.

As Some of you may know, my vision for the Society is to begin a Micronational Studies Academic journal, with the view to working collaboratively with fellow micronations as well as micronational entities who have an interest in the study of our societies and cultures. We also are in need of a web developer for a website for this endeavour.

I also wish to begin looking into the feasibility of a Talossan Educational institution that can provide training and academic support and supervision for Academic Thesis and qualifications.

It's an interesting world we live in, and I feel it's our job as La Società Rexhital per l'Avançamaintsch del Säp to study it and share it!

In the view of devopling a micronational jeronal (more to follow), we are looking for an avalible devoper or softwear technition to set us up with a website.
I am told that popular web-creation platforms are wordpress.com, wix.com and weebly.com. Relojo-Howell suggested that it's also worth looking into the Public Knowledge Project: this provides Open Journal Systems (OJS), software designed to support the setting up and management of open access journals.

If anyone has any intrest, please state below!

We look forward to hearing from you!

  • Offer a form of accredited qualification (however dubious such accreditation would be 😆🫣) likly in the form of cultural studies and/or/aswell as Talossan Law(with a cool certificate to go with it)
Would I be able to post this on Linkedin?

Sure why not!
Let me rephrase. If I get a certification from LexisNexis, it asks me "would you like ot post on LinkedIn?" and if I click "yes" the post on LinkedIn is able to be verified by anyone looking to see if I actually got the certification I posted about.

Ah, an endorsement of skills, that definitely feels within our preview

Quote from: Breneir Tzaracomprada on October 04, 2024, 12:45:31 AM@Tierçéu Rôibeardescù now that you are officially the new Royal Society president I'd like to offer the resources and services of Fora Talossa in spreading any educational ventures from the Royal Society through its channels.

We are Talossa's largest repository of video programming and a cooperative venture seems like a good opportunity for continued growth and service to the nation.

@Tierçéu Rôibeardescù Madam President, what did you think of this proposal?

This sounds excellent, I will be in contact very soon, I'm just doing some initial research into feasibility of study.

Quote from: Sir Txec dal Nordselvă, UrB on October 02, 2024, 09:56:38 PMI love the reference to one of my all time favorite writers, Isaac Asimov, and his most excellent Foundation series (the books, not that stinky Apple TV series)!

Mine too! It's a good job I'm not a mathematician too, I'd be unstoppable xD

I promise to not go mad with power or invent and wheld  phycohistory and write prophesies of the fall of the future talossan galactic empire? We have other political and cluture groups to do that 🙄

On a serious note, I intend to approach the society as true achedemic institution, a place to share and develop a independent body to not only be of of scientific and societal advice the state but the academic community at large.

If appointed, Within my first year I will endeavour to do the following.
  • hold one symposium (likly online), namly on Micronational sociological studies, with an aim to have some academics intrested in the field from abroad
  • Offer a form of accredited qualification (however dubious such accreditation would be 😆🫣) likly in the form of cultural studies and/or/aswell as Talossan Law(with a cool certificate to go with it)
  • begin the development a talossan examination and awarding body.
  • produce the first edtion of a talossan academic journal, in view of a yearly project

I am limiting my scope as I wish to only offer what I feel I can deliver within a year without too much pressure or worries around time commitments.

Academic speaking, I think we are of interest to the wider academic community as we basically are our own melting pot.
Educationally, I do feel that we have fallen off the wagon somewhat for the newer citizens, as times has changed since my early days, which does make some areas of talossa less accessible, so I would be keen to do educational resources, introducing or reintroducing our society and our nation back to the citizens. A lot of the old story's need retelling and also archiving those story's as they also make up the culture we have built.
