Much appreciated @Dame Litz it would be great have that available for l'Etats by the start of the month of June.  I will sort out the homestead claim and tourism office location and write that up for confirmation as well.  Will be traveling a bit (again) but should have access to Witt.

Better late than never:

Whereas Cézembre - famous for its title of the best province of Talossa - is the furthest province from the GTA, but the closest to the hearts of all Talossans,

Whereas all Talossan citizens are encouraged, should they have the means and ability, to visit Cézembre at least once in their lifetime,

Whereas the Provincial Government of Cézembre should do all within its remit to make sure this is a memorable and worthwhile visit to our fabulous homeland,

Therefore, be it enacted by L'Etats de Cézembre:

Section 1) Any trip or visit by any Talossan to Cézembre shall be known as the "Euro Haxh",

Section 2) It shall be a duty for all Talossan Citizens lucky enough to live near our beloved island to welcome and guide fellow Talossans who travel on a Euro Haxh.

b) Such citizens who live near our fair island, shall also endeavour to educate the unfamiliar on "Galette à l'Andouille et au Camembert" - a Cézembre regional culinary specialty,

Section 3) In order to further aid and empower local citizens, and to assist them in the promotion of Euro Haxh,  L'Etats de Cézembre, hereby establishes, "The Royal Tourist Office of the Island of Cézembre", known officially in El Glheþ as "L'Óifisch Rexhital del Tourismeu dal Insulā da Cézembre", and charges it with the mission to promote tourism to Cézembre by advertising the numerous qualities of the island and its coastal surroundings, by whatever means it deems fit, including but not limited to, such matters as historical, geographical, culinary or fiscal.

Section 4) The Royal Tourist Office of the Island of Cézembre shall be headed by a Director, known as "El Zirecteir del Óifisch Rexhital del Tourismeu dal Insulā da Cézembre".

b) They shall be appointed and dismissed by a resolution passed by a majority of L'Etats de Cézembre.

c) The Director shall be responsible for welcoming and offering to guide Talossan visitors onto Cézembre and its surrounds, namely in the cities of Saint-Malo and Dinard, provided this Director is not prevented from doing so by a reasonable excuse.

Furthermore:

Be it resolved by of L'Etats de Cézembre that it passes the following resolution, as described in Section 4b above that:

þerxh Sant-Enogat shall be appointed "Zirecteir del Óifisch Rexhital del Tourismeu dal Insulā da Cézembre" and shall serve as Director until L'Etats de Cézembre resolves otherwise, or he otherwise vacates said office, by resignation/death/loss of citizenship.

Quote from: Ian Plätschisch on May 18, 2023, 05:32:08 PMIt's arguable that this bill would mean Senators who didn't vote three times over the course of their entire tenure would be kicked out, which would be strange.

MCs get replaced every election (even if the same individuals return), but even when Senators get re-elected there is no equivalent "hard break" in their tenure that would cause the strikes to reset.

Not quite true - This issue has already been addressed by the CpI in the 2005 Senäts Vacancy Ruling:

Looks good - though when I get a minute, I'd like to give it a more "grammatical" tidy-up and shall post it here before it goes to a vote.

Quote from: Miestră Schivă, UrN on May 16, 2023, 09:56:53 PMWHEREAS there is now a vacancy on the Uppermost Cort;

AND WHEREAS throughout most of Talossan history, the Uppermost Cort was set at 3 members;

AND WHEREAS that tradition was broken at the time the old Magistrate's Cort was folded into the CpI;

AND WHEREAS we now have a chance to restore this tradition;

AND WHEREAS the effect of this bill will be to confirm the CpI at its current size of one Senior Judge and two Puisne Judges, as foreseen in OrgLaw VIII.3;

AND WHEREAS under the provisions of OrgLaw VIII.3, this resizing will have to be approved by a 2/3 majority of the Cosa, and then approved by the same margin again in the next Cosa;

BE IT ENACTED by the King, Cosa and Senäts of Talossa in Ziu assembled that El Lexhatx G.1.1.1 is deleted.
You have one too many 1's after El Lex G :) .

Also, I believe that the CpI going forward should always be an odd number of seats.

Quote from: Dame Litz Cjantscheir, UrN on February 06, 2023, 01:11:17 PMHowever (and I am by no means an IT expert here, so please correct me if I'm wrong), I don't envision adding one text box to the current census programme/file/database should be too much of an issue?

I don't believe this is a problem either. I'm just stating that it'd be beneficial for me to explore that option. The other ideas suggested I don't think will be feasible given current law.

However, we run up against privacy law here as well. I can collect the skills inventory, I can't share what they said if it identifies them.
I fully understand what you're trying to say, but current legal issues aside (which are within the powers of the Ziu to amend, if they see fit) - I do agree with you that we need clarification of what is or isn't possible with the current census/database system so the Ziu can look at alternatives, and if need be, pass legislation to that effect.

Quote from: Sir Txec dal Nordselvă, UrB on February 06, 2023, 12:16:13 PMThe responses are not tied to individuals, but that is a factor in determining if a citizen is going to lose their citizenship and that IS tracked in the current database. MPF would have to manually change everyone's database file if we used an alternate means.

I'm only asking that when major changes are planned, we determine AS PART OF THE CHANGE how we will accomplish it.
I appreciate what the SoS is saying, major changes should be discussed - which is why we have the Hopper to try and thrash things out, to see what is possible and what isn't.

However (and I am by no means an IT expert here, so please correct me if I'm wrong), I don't envision adding one text box to the current census programme/file/database should be too much of an issue?

Quote from: Viteu on February 03, 2023, 04:52:19 PM@Dame Litz Cjantscheir, UrN , what say you?

PJ Marcianüs does raise some valid points which I agree with and other points I don't.

I do believe this is an issue that we, the Justices of the CpI, need to have an open and honest discussion on and collectively decide what is the best approach for Justices of the CpI and in the best interests of Talossa. I have replied to PJ Marcianüs' email in our chambers to start this discussion and hopefully, we all can reach a consensus on what is expected of CpI Justices going forward.

Therefore, until such a time that the CpI comes to an agreement that it is ok for Justices to hold seats in the Cosa and to be "politically active", I will immediately cease all political activity and will not be accepting any Cosa seats for any party and ask that the SoS reassign any seats allotted to me according to the TNC party's wishes.

Talossa, Talossa, land of red and green!
With ballots cast, and election clean,
The will of the people was heard and seen!

Talossa, Talossa, land of green and red!
On the shoulders of giants we now tread,
New dawn light begining to spread!

Talossa, Talossa, land for one and all!
It may be, that our Kingdom is small,
but the Talossan People will always stand tall!

Wonderful - Couldn't have put it any better!

Quote from: C. M. Siervicül on February 02, 2023, 11:49:35 AMZooks, and it sounds like there may be more.

I don't anticipate any more on this list.
Hopefully not, it's always sad to see so many once-active Talossans drop off, but our door should always remain open should they ever decide to come home!

Thanks XPB!

I would like to stand for L'Etats - the jury is out on standing for Le Sénéchal - but I will update accordingly.
