I just hope that whoever my successor will be is gonna kick the Cosă into shape and turn it into a proper parliament.

Since this change would also involve changing the plurals of nouns ending in -rd from -rds to -rden, I will vote CONTRA.

Iac Marscheir has just proposed the following change to the pluralisation rule:
Add /ð/ to the list of phonemes that trigger <en> pluralization.

For context, right now the sounds that trigger an -en plural are [s z ʃ ʒ ʃt ʧ ʤ ʎ ɲ θ]

Yes, obviously! I've seen people who didnt know how to spell their own name because to them it's just a meaningless sequence of letters on a screen instead of real words. This country's cultural policy has been neglecting pronunciations of words since forever, when in any other language the spoken word is way more important than the written one.

I dont mean to attack your idea or anything, it's just that I think there are other ways of getting citizens to use Talossan more that might be more effective long-term.

Very much a "can't hurt, might help" kind of thing.

People are already struggling with the words and names that are in use (how many of you know how to pronounce glheþ, Ziu or Ian? No cheating!), adding even more to keep track of wouldn't help with that I don't think.

Two things:

@Mic'haglh Autófil  "Númerul dal Documenteu" is grammatically incorrect. "Documenteu" is masculine, so it would be "Númerul del Documenteu", but instead I'd suggest "Númeul da Documenteu" since it fits the style of the other labels, or its abbreviated form "N:reu da Doc." (yes, the abbreviated form of númerul is n:reu, don't ask me why.)

If you mean that the sex should be listed in both Talossan and English, then linguistically there'd be no need for it. The Talossan and English words (maschcel ~ male, femnel ~ female) happen to have the same first letters, so listing it once would be sufficient. I havent read ICAO 9303 part 3 myself though, so maybe it's still necessary?

But if you are still offering Talossan Language Translation Services then I would love to have the Talossan Book of Cuisine translated into Talossan so that we can offer it in both Talossan and English. I think it will work out to be maybe 20-25 pages. But later versions will likely be larger should the first version cause it to take off.

It's a question of stylistic consistency, I guess. "Fiôvâ" is in the pre-2007 spelling that was/is popular with the Republicans even after Reunision, while in the 2007 spelling reform that was popular with the Kingdom it was changed to "Fiova". Nowadays the prefered spelling is "Fiovă", but which spelling to choose is a matter of which style youre using and staying consistent with that. Since you're not using Ă anywhere else (which is valid), it wouldn't make much sense to use it here either. So the two remaining styles would be the pre-2007 version Repúblicáes da Fiôvâ, and the 2007 version Republicaes da Fiova. The latter would be consistent with the other names, but the former would be particularly on brand for Fiovă so the choice is yours.

Finally to get back to the original topic of the thread, I'm a huge fan of this idea here, and I hope it succedes.
