Quote from: þerxh Sant-Enogat on June 08, 2023, 05:06:45 PMA question to Marcel Eðo Pairescu Tafial, UrGP if I may, what should be the glheþ translation of Member of L'Etats de Cézembre ? Membreu del Etats da Cézembre ?

Yes, pretty much.

QuoteBtw, is 'L'Etats' a talossan word ? ´L'Estat' would be the old french for the State

It's not. I don't know where it comes from, but apparently it's been in use since at least 2010.

Quote from: þerxh Sant-Enogat on June 08, 2023, 12:47:30 PMIn this case, shouldn't we use the plural form of the adjectives ' Rexhitals Talossaes' , as in French for instance ?

I view "Bank and Post" as one single entity, as such the adjectives would be singular.

(also the plural of "rexhital" is "rexhitais".)

I'd use Banqeu es Post Rexhital Talossan.

I assign the PT seat to Lüc da Schir.

Quote from: Baron Alexandreu Davinescu on June 03, 2023, 11:54:58 AMThere's pronunciation for each sound on this site: https://www.talossan.com/?page_id=48

Oh god, why is the website layout broken again?! Who did that!

And it's worth noting that the website hasn't been updated yet. It's still refering to an older spelling.

QuoteAnd even more amazing, the translator will supply a pronunciation for any word!

https://oversteir.talossa.com/

Just click on the "sound" icon next to any translated word.

I still want to add a text-to-speech engine to that feature. Right now it's only moderately useful if you don't already know the IPA.

Quote from: þerxh Sant-Enogat on May 29, 2023, 02:34:20 AMI struggled to understand how to use past conditional form for verbs, how to translate 'he would have done this if he could do that'.. can you help me ?

For the past conditional, you use conditional form of the perfect. As in, "he would have done this" becomes o tenadra façat acest.

The second part of your sentence is just a normal conditional, so it'd be schi o povadra façar acest.

Hope this helps!

Els Cnec'hts del Congreßeu Naziunal Talossan (els KNEKHTS del kong-GREH-sue nah-tsyoo-NOW tah-loh-SAHN).

Kinda hard to say for English speakers, especially "cnec'hts". The C is fully pronounced.

The most fitting translation would probably be corsă. According to l'Översteir it's specifically for running, but French uses the word course for racing in general so that should be fine.

"Kinetic Racing" would thus be Corsă Chinetic (KOR-suh kee-NEH-teek).

The point of the defence attorney is to defend a defendant, no matter how cut-and-dry the case may seem. Giving the defence the power to plead guilty, either directly or indirectly (like nolo contendere), without asking the defendant about it first seems to go directly against this purpose.

Also I don't see much of a point to the nolo contendere plea anyway. If a defence attorney is not in contact with the defendant and has to make assumptions, the most reasonable assumption is that the defendant would not admit to anything. Am I misunderstanding anything?

In my opinion, the choice between svilup and developind (and similarly svilupar and developar) is purely stylistic in nature. In general I prefer a more "North African" style that Ben tried to go for in his last years as a Talossan (with an added caveat that more generally recognisable and dissectable words are prefered), but I can't demand that others share my aesthetic sensibilities. As such, I have no issue accepting "developind" as a valid word choice.

Personally I might want to add an article before "Developind" as well, but other than that it's perfectly fine. The resulting acronym, BAÞDI, is also very fun to say (BAHTH-dee)!
