Merge the chat room and this board, create a new chat called political discussion, and encourage a norm where people start or continue political discussions there.

That's certainly a feasible idea.

I am in favor of having a place where all the loud arguments can go that won't interfere with the other stuff that is happening. Reading the latest 59 sometimes becomes an effort in scrolling to get to things I need to read. I'm not entirely sure how I'd organize a Thunderdome and I also don't want to be blamed for moving things to it or be seen as being a censor.

If there is general agreement I'll re-create the Thunderdome. I'm also thinking that I can add something to Wittiquette with whatever criteria I will use to determine how threads get moved.

5 days remain on the Seneschal election. 3 members of the Cosa have not yet voted: @C. M. Siervicül , @Jordan Placie , and @Iason Taiwos.

As this thread was the plans of the previous Secretary of State, none of these positions will be filled. The Chancery is re-evaluating the roles of already appointed Deputies and will announce any changes in personnel as soon as possible.

Dr. Txec dal Nordselvă,
Secretary of State

I knew that...I just also forgot that!

Breaking the national web space is a triple felony under our laws. The Zuavs will be there to arrest you soon. Do not resist or they will be forced to use the bedposts.

Bedposts? for what?

Woo, I'm a citizen again!

Now that I can again claim citizenship in our glorious country, is there anything I can do to help out?

I was at a virtual officers retreat for my teachers union most of the day and then slept a little to recharge So I didn't get the chance to respond.

I do have some thoughts on how you can get involved in non-political work but I need a little time to formulate my thoughts more fully after a particularly long day. Don't get discouraged. I'll get back to this topic shortly.

The question, rephrased: imagine if the King were just flouting his organic duties, not replying to emails, etc.

The king actually does not seem to reply to emails. I've sent several that have gone unanswered. It also has been 42 days since he even logged into Witt.

But they should also edit the Organic Law page to remove the phrase "and editing this to make my point again since no one's fixed this yet" from the preamble, which I added a couple of months ago when I was trying to draw attention

This is a dirty trick and completely counter-productive. Shame on you.

Thanks. I may have sounded snippy so I apologize. I did reach out to the A-X on your advice.

- This is a dramatically big decision for the Chancery, and it seems like it would be wise to get the A-X to weigh in and look at the potential precedent being set in terms of the definition of "voluntarily" for the purposes of the law.

I don't think it is a dramatic decision given the law at hand. I don't see where it says the Chancery has to consult the Attorney General. It says the SoS SHALL reactivate not seek advice from the A-X. However, I did open this decision up to debate by giving it 24 hours instead of simply acting.

QuoteEl.Lex E.14.1. The Secretary of State shall reactivate the citizenship of the individual upon confirming that the individual can be contacted at the same e-mail address previously on file with the Chancery, or otherwise verifying to the Secretary of State's satisfaction the identity of the applicant as a former citizen.
