Quote from: Munditenens Tresplet on April 29, 2025, 04:18:53 PMAnd I don't think the CRL cannot comment on the Sense of the Ziu language, but I wonder if the sense that electoral ballots cast remain completely secret even from administrators will be understood to work in conjunction with existing language that could conceivably provide those cast ballots to the EC in an unlikely event they are needed.

That is a good point. For the record, currently, there is no way to completely reveal a secret ballot from the frontend; you can either see just the metadata or just the anonymised ballot content, and those are presented separately so that it's impossible to link one and the other.

I suggest to @Miestră Schivă, UrN-GC she could replace that provision with something like:

"that any and all balloting systems should be engineered so to make impossible to reveal a voter's choices even to administrators, if chosen to be secret, except for investigating on potential irregularities as provided by law or directed by the Judiciary"

Also an enthusiastic Per from me.

In the interest of giving the newly-elected presiding officers - @Munditenens Tresplet and @þerxh Sant-Enogat together with A-X @Dr. Pôl dal Nordselvă - as much time as possible to clear bills off the CRL, I will be more flexible than usual with Clarking deadlines and accept bills Clarked as late as the morning of May 1st.

The First Clark may be slightly delayed as a result, to no later than the TST evening of May 1st (so pretty much a delay of at most 12 hours)

That makes it 117 seats for @Munditenens Tresplet , who I conclude is therefore duly elected as Túischac'h for the 61st Cosă pursuant to Lexh.H.4.4.3. Congratulations!

It doesn't fall upon me (well, upon anyone technically) to proclaim the winner, but in the interest of getting this done ASAP so I can go on and make all necessary changes in Witt and the Database:

That makes it a majority of Senators (Sant-Enogat, Valcadac'h, Grischun, Davinescu, Somelieir) nominating @þerxh Sant-Enogat for Mençei. Pursuant to Standing Rule 2.3, he is therefore to be considered duly elected as Mençei. Congratulations!

That makes it 97 for Tresplet.

Current tally: Alexandreu Davinescu 63, Munditenens Tresplet 88

Seats needed for election: 101

Yet to vote: @Bråneu Excelsio, UrN , @Barclamïu da Miéletz , @Iac Éovard Valadeir , @mpf , @Muhammed Yasir

Is this a Government bill? (Edit: taking the "like" as a yes, so it will be shown as such on the Clark)

Vuode / Re: Estats Xhenerais
April 27, 2025, 07:52:38 AM
In the recently concluded General Elections, the Chancery included a ballot question for each provincial assembly's seat claim process. This was done partially because I was concerned the recent activity levels of many provinces suggested many provincial elections were at risk of not being organised.

In doing so, I attempted to check most provincial legislation to make sure there was a way to accept claims in this way, and indeed, some provinces already chose to fully adopt the seat claims made through the Chancery as valid; this is however fully up to each province. In Vuode's case, I specifically used the same wording for the claim as mandated by your laws, and noted that the window for claiming seats coincided with the electoral period, which again would suggests database claim as valid.

That said - the seat claims for Vuode are at the bottom of this page: https://database.talossa.com/elections/2025-general-elections

It would therefore appear that @Eðo Grischun , @Adam Grigoriu , @Trotxâ Betiñéir, UrN  and @Bentxamì Puntmasleu elected to claim a seat, and three other voters either explicitly did not claim a seat or left this part blank.

You're now fully empowered to either accept these claims as validly made, like some provinces already have, or reject them.

Ok I'm done with my edits, please feel free to copypaste my suggested provisions into your bill (if so, it should probably be renamed to "...Act and Sense of the Ziu" because of the recommendations at the end), and then to add me as cosponsor.

So moved. One urgent feedback and one extremely pedantic styling suggestion that I promise I will not be upset if ignored:

- beware the section you are looking to amend is G.11.1, not G.1.11;

- consider un-abbreviating CpI to the full Cort pü Inalt in the amended clause

Otherwise, this all would seem to work as intended.
