Can provinces independently swap catchment areas? ("We'll give you Serbia and Moldova for Libya and Morocco.") The whole catchment area thing has seemed to me to be largely arbitrary...like throwing darts at a map. "And...Burkina Faso goes to Benito!" Is there really any rhyme or reason to it? Being named Benito and having a large contingent of Italians in our province, I would assume that Benitian culture is largely based on Italian culture...but within our provincial catchment areas are places that have no connection with anything Italian. Places not even conquered by Italy. You'd think Sardinians would be placed in Benito. Is there no cultural basis behind provincial assignments? (Our Cjovani subculture is open to everybody. If you like us and we like you, you're in. Doesn't matter where you're from.)

I am thinking specifically of the MST3K episode where they watch one of our national films: Manos and the Hands of Fate.
This would be doubly patriotic as MST3K is considered our national programme.

I would be interested. (I don't know if anyone was aware, but a sequel to Manos came out recently. "Manos Returns". Stars the lady who played Debbie in the original. I started watching it, but never got around to finishing it.) (I think it's free to watch on Tubi.)
(Before he went to prison, Iusti Canun had roped me into a project...he wanted to create a version of Manos with Talossan subtitles. I have Manos on DVD, so he enlisted my aid in trying to help him figure out what some of the more garbled dialogue was. I wonder if anybody would want to take up this project?) (If so, count me out. I can't sit thru the non-MST3K version anymore!)

I guess my statement was a mispoken, clumsy attempt at expressing my frustration that my best friend, who is very much involved in Talossan life...but offline...had his citizenship removed. It wasn't against you, but the system. I apologize if you felt I was insulting you. Man, I feel bad.

I can verify he is who he says he is. If that isn't good enough, then to hell with Talossa. We don't need a bunch of pompous bureaucrats telling us who is and who ain't Talossan.

With the recent honor given to us by the Talossan government, I thought it was time to reveal more of our culture to the Talossan masses. (This lexicon of ours is a crude work in progress. Nonetheless, I think it is worthy of presenting to the Nation, for those who are interested in establishing their own Talossan subcultures.) (There are doubtless numerous linguistic flaws in this work, however, none of the Talossan language experts we've reached out to for aid have offered any help, so this is what you get.) We can get certificates? Well, I want mine. Celebrated ten years a Talossan last year. I recently got ten years in my current job, and they not only gave me a certificate of thanks for my service, but they gave me a tiny catalog of gifts I can pick from. I'm debating wether to get the tv or the telescope. (If we had money, enduring some of the nonsense and drama of Talossa for ten years should qualify you for a new car.)

Last I heard, I was still Admiral of the Royal Talossan Navy. The head honcho, the big cheese. I'd heard rumors that others had higher authority than me in the Naval department, but I can't run a decent Navy paying attention to rumors, so I have largely ignored such idle chatter. If there are changes to be  made in how I run things, I'd like to know.
