The time has come again for us to figure out what what we want to pursue for the next Cosa.  So, as Chisleu Bruno of the NPW, I am issuing the call for ideas.  Also, if any non-aligned Peculiarists are interested in membership, make yourself known and get involved with one of Talossa's oldest political movements.

Would anybody be interested in holding a gift exchange in honor of upcoming Independence Day?  Just an exchange of some small something (No more than USD 25 or so) that you think might make the other person smile.  We might be cutting it close, but I think that holiday spirit can be extended!

If you're interested, just drop me an email at culture@talossa.com with your name, address, and some general interests by Friday, 12/18.  The Ministry can then facilitate the exchange of information.  Much festive!!

The New Peculiar Way is a major advocate for the adoption of a dual head of state system.

Some like the pomp and ceremony of Royalty, with heraldry and symbolism.

Others would prefer a more Republican, periodically elected, type of Head of State.

The NPW says you can have both.  El Regeu and El Schac'h.

El Regeu is chosen just as we currently choose our Regeu.  For life.  El Schac'h is chosen periodically by popular election.  They are coequal, and exercise their powers in alternating Clarks.

The Ministry of Culture is proud to announce the kickoff of our first annual analog art show.  Talossan memes and other digital arts are thriving these days.  But many of us are also artists in the analog word.  So we are launching an art show for all those paintings, drawings, sculptures, and analog arts of all kinds.

Contest winner(s) and runner(s) up will receive golden and silver cups respectively from the Ministry trophy stock, as well as immense bragging rights.  Entries will be judged by a panel of Talossan cultural luminaries who didn't enter the contest itself.

To enter, send a photograph of your work to culture@talossa.com along with the artist's name and medium of the art submitted.

The deadline for submissions is 1/15/2021 and the show will go live 1/20/2021.

50 WORD STATEMENT: The NPW looks to add levity, peculiarity, and fun to the Talossan scene. Let's help people find those reasons to check in on a regular basis, as well grow Talossa in new and interesting ways. "Everything's got a story in it. Change the story, change the world." -Terry Prachett

1.) PROVINCES- Provinces as they exist don't work, reflecting very little in terms of a cohesive group.  What was once geographically defined is no longer due to apportionment rejiggering.  Let's replace them with affinity groups, which can be geographic or otherwise.

2.) RENOUNCE LAND CLAIMS- Milwaukee will always be the birthplace and cradle of Talossa.  But as Konstantin Tsiolkovsky said, "The Earth is the cradle of humanity, but mankind cannot stay in the cradle forever."  We seek to renounce land claims that we do not control and leave the cradle.  Let the Greater Talossan area remain a symbolic and spiritual homeland.

3.) DUAL HEAD OF STATE- On one had, Talossans yearn for an elected head of government, while on the other hand Talossans treasure the novelty and fun of Royalty.  Let's have both.  Let us keep the current King (Regeu) and add a periodically elected counterpart (Schac'h).  Power can be wielded alternately, or some other arrangement.  Much democracy!  Such novelty!
