Quote from: Barclamïu da Miéletz on April 15, 2024, 03:45:40 AMLet's hope DHL doesn't ship it because when my card arrives while I'm at school, they'll just leave a note telling to pick it up at a designated postal office.

1) Why is that an issue? I've had that happen to me a bunch of times and it's not that big a deal.
2) If the package is flat enough to fit through a mailbox slot (as I expect it will be), chances are they will just put it in your mailbox. That's what happened to me when I ordered playing cards online.

Quote from: Mic'haglh Autófil, SMC EiP on April 12, 2024, 10:49:36 AMIf I recall correctly, Miestra got hers in about two weeks from date of mailing, and that's a significantly longer trip than Germany.
Let's hope DHL doesn't ship it because when my card arrives while I'm at school, they'll just leave a note telling to pick it up at a designated postal office.

Benito / [Senate of Benito] The Third T...

QuoteWHEREAS the Sovereign Province of Benito has gone by two names throughout its existence; and

WHEREAS the previous name of "Mussolini" had multiple negative connotations and implications, and the name of "Benito" does little to dispel these in the context of its predecessor; and

WHEREAS the Sovereign Province is home to multiple scenic areas along the Manáweg; and

WHEREAS the Sovereign Province is nice enough to be named thrice (but really hopefully no more than that),

BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Sovereign Province of Benito is hereby renamed the Free and Sovereign Province of Belacostă (meaning "beautiful riverbank") pending a referendum of the Province's citizenry, and that should this name be approved, all references to "Benito" in current provincial law shall be understood to refer to the same legal entity under its new name.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon approval of this referendum, the Government and Ziu are requested to give effect to this renaming at the federal level at their earliest convenience.

Uréu q'estadra så,
Mic'haglh Autófil MA
Sir Lüc da Schir MA

This bill, having passed the Assembly, now comes before the Senate. Voting will last for one week, until midnight Talossan Daylight Time, Sunday/Monday, April 21/22, 2024.

Alternatively, once all members have voted, or if at least four votes (representing a majority of the Senate) are cast either in favor of or in opposition to this bill, then voting will close at that time as per Article 10 of the Benitian Constitution.

As a Senator under the appointment of the Maestro, I cast my vote për.

Tagging Senators here for notification. @Sir Lüc @Iason Taiwos @Flip Molinar @Istefan Perþonest (Senator Carschaleir does not appear to have a Witt account)

Lol second in the line of succession to the throne... Hum Machiavellian laugh

Thanks but no thanks ahhahaha I don't want to become king, don't worry Miestra. Seems like I'm still identifying here as controversial. It's getting really hurtful... I became a citizen I was 18 I'm now 44. Sometimes it seems like your comments about me aren't changing. But I'm no longer a teenager...

Don't worry, I have no desire to become King. But I would definitely become a Duke if it comes with a retirement pension and a mansion ;)

If we don't get a consensus, I suppose I'll submit *both* versions to the CRL and then make the call over which to Clark at the last minute :D

I have heard the sound of tumbleweed. And while it is indeed a nice sound I plan to decide on a winner by day's end. :-)

Quote from: Miestră Schivă, UrN on April 13, 2024, 09:16:35 PMI'd like to hear other TNC MCs, in particular @þerxh Sant-Enogat and @Carlüs Éovart Vilaçafat, as to which option they'd prefer (a "clean vacancy" or a named successor + succession to be determined by law with a default option). Once we have 140+ votes declared for a preferred option we can proceed.

@þerxh Sant-Enogat and @Carlüs Éovart Vilaçafat Your invitation is on the table. What say you as to your preferences on this matter?

No, a motion is not a request for unanimous consent; but I vote in favour of my own motion, and seeing as the vote has been sitting open for well over two weeks now, declare it closed and S:r Autófil duly elected.
