The title is not sarcastic, but sincere.

I intended to send the following message privately, because it feels awkward to publish it publicly, but judicial ethics tend to prohibit ex parte communications and I did not want to prejudice the ongoing lawsuit or place the Justice in an uncomfortable position. At the same time, I feel compelled to write him, and so this public posting is a compromise.

Although I recognize that you may wish not to respond, I pray that you do.

Thank you for your diligence and respect in the most recent judgement of the interlocutory appeal. Even if the judgement was not in my favor as the plaintiff, it was fair, judicious, and well-reasoned. Most importantly, it seemed not prejudicial. I meant no offense or contempt, and hoped only to be a fervent advocate, no less because I represent myself pro se.

Few trials or suits, if any, are pleasant. Judges have the unenviable task to render justice in a starkly unjust world, and although their judgements are inherently fallible, they are often the only available manner of remedy. The best that any party can hope for is a neutral, dispassionate, and prudent judge.

Thank you for rising to be a Justice on our Uppermost Cort, and for undertaking Talossa's second-most unenviable task (after Secretary of State).

With gratitude,
AdV

Gentlemen,
I applaud you both for your civility and candor. It is my hope as the outgoing leader of this government that the citizens of our Kingdom always conduct themselves with the respect you both exhibited to each other here.

Cheers,

@Istefan Perþonest, you were not tagged but I wanted to be sure you saw these kind words. I share them. This is not the dream you mentioned having as a young kid of being on the US Supreme Court but I hope the work of Talossan justice suffices.

Big Bopper, at your service.
