About Myself:
I'm a former baseball/softball player, coach, umpire; coaching  primarily in women and youth softball. I'm the former president of the Irish-American Club of Mid-Michigan, seven years. My hobbies include smoking good cigars and drinking good bourbon as well as delicious pinot noir wines.  I'm a retired civil-servant pensioner having spent 30+ years working for the State of Michigan as a 'worker bee,' not 'white collar.' FYI, retirement is wonderful!

Why I am Interested in Becoming a Talossan:
I've always been interested in ethnicity and ethnic origins. My Irish forebears came to North America fleeing the 'potato famine.' The Dutch sides of my family came to North America following WWI believing, correctly, that the worst was yet to come.

Becoming a Talossan seems to be a wonderful way to investigate, and experience, other people's ethnicities and experiences.
