About Myself:
My name is Nazar, and I would love to be a part of Talossa.

I am currently studying at Kostyantynivsky Lyceum and I attach great importance to my studies. I believe that education is the key to understanding the world and my own development.

I have also been actively involved in Ukrainian folk dancing for 11 years. For me dancing is not just a hobby, it is a passion and a way to express myself. I am convinced that arts such as dance have the power to bring people together and create special interconnections.

In my professional life, although I am still learning, I strive to apply my knowledge and skills to enrich the Talossa community.

Thank you for considering my application, and I look forward to becoming a productive citizen of Talossа.

Sincerely, Nazar.

Why I am Interested in Becoming a Talossan:
Aspiring to become a citizen of Talossa represents for me a unique opportunity to join a virtual society where the principles of freedom, tolerance and mutual assistance are valued and practised. In a world where borders are becoming less and less defined, Talossa provides a unique opportunity to create your own virtual corner where every citizen is part of something bigger.

My studies and my passion for dance for 11 years inspire me to strive for cultural and educational enrichment. By joining Talossa, I see the opportunity to combine my academic and creative endeavours in a community where a multitude of talents and interests are valued.

Also, I see Talossa as a unique opportunity to participate in the formation and development of the community. With my desire to actively participate in the community and work together to achieve common goals, I am confident that I can contribute to the diversity and prosperity of the Talossa community.

Overall, my interest in becoming a Talossa is based on a desire to be part of a global community that values diversity, creativity, and the pursuit of betterment. I am willing to actively participate in the life of Talossa and share my ideas and efforts to achieve common goals.

Welcome, Nazar. I am relatively new to Talossa myself (about three and a half months) but I have found it an exciting and welcoming community. I'm sure you will too. What is quoted above is also what interests me about Talossa. It is fascinating that something started 44 years ago in a bedroom has become a hub for people across the world, from various backgrounds, with a sorts of creative talents. We are all proud of the contributions, however great or small, we have made to the rich tapestry that is Talossa. We look forward to your participation in this community.

Azul, Nazar, and welcome to Talossa

I am not much of a dancer - I am 78 years old, and a little bit stiff! - but I am very interested in Ukrainian music, and music from other countries in that area. I have written quite a bit of music myself, some of which uses Iranian and Greek and Macedonian and Bulgarian (and lots of other) folk tunes as part of its inspiration. We in "the west" tend to ignore that rich source of culture.

The rhythms of the dance music from that (large) area are wonderful - if we think of dance music as being 1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1-2-3 or 1-2-3-4, 1-2-3-4, etc. then when we get to bars with 11 beats, or 9 beats split 2-2-2-3 (and so on) we have a "limp" (I think that's what it's called?). I have written music in 7 and 11 and 13 beats to the bar - and though I can count it and feel the rhythms, many other people (here in England) are completely baffled by it. And you, I suppose, are happy dancing to those rhythms.

What are your favourite dances, and who do you dance with?
