Mr. Speaker,

This enquiry is for the Foreign Affairs Minister. @Antaglha Xhenerös Somelieir

What a pity with the failure of the Carcosa initiative. I recall that you were determined to move forward with it until the communications breakdown. Now that that is resolved what other activities is the Ministry currently engaged in?

Other than previously announced projects, I will not be announcing anything further until we have something to announce as per my previous answers to this member, we WILL NOT announce anything until deals have been reached. As is standard practice within most of not all foreign ministries globally.

Mr. Speaker,

Because my question was general in nature I wanted to follow up with a more specific supplementary question. The Minister rightly reminded me of her policy to not announce projects until they are completed. Based on her response to my June enquiry with specifics as to goals I'd like to be more specific. Her response was as follows:

Quote* Look for micronations that share common values and principles with the laws and citizens of Talossa and reach out to them
* Strengthen diplomatic ties with others in the community of micronations
* Look at how Talossa may participate in events hosted by groups of micronations

Minister, on these specific goals you do not need to go into details. With respect to the search for micronations with common values, the strengthening of diplomatic times, or how Talossa might participate in group micronational events is there any activity, even of a basic and general nature, you can share to keep the Ziu informed of ministerial activity?

I will state again, Other than previously announced projects, I will not be announcing anything further until we have something to announce as per my previous answers to this member, we WILL NOT announce anything until deals have been reached, it isn't as if the foreign ministry has been silent, and we have made announcements on things as they have been needed. So what you are asking about falls under "other than previously announced projects"

Mr. Speaker,

I would remind the Minister to pose her responses through the Speaker.

I don't think it is an unreasonable request that some information be shared, even of a basic and general nature, concerning the work of the Ministry. Unfortunately, your current stance makes accountability impossible which I will charitably assume is not the intent of the Minister. It is possible to give information for the purposes of updating the Ziu on progress without sharing sensitive details. This has been done in the past by other Foreign Affairs ministers without putting the programs themselves or national security at risk. Further, if we are comparing with other countries, there are much more detailed oversight hearings (with confidential briefings as necessary) in other countries. If that is what you want to move toward then I am certainly game.

I'll check in next month.
